Power Season 6 Premiere Recap: Angela's Fate Revealed!

Warning: This post contains major spoilers from Power‘s Season 6 premiere.

Ladies and gentlemen, James St. Patrick isn’t the only ghost in Power‘s Season 6 premiere.

Yes, even though Assistant United States Attorney Angela Valdes appears in a trailer for the crime drama’s final season — and I’ll admit it, I fell for thinking that she’d survive the direct hit she sustained at the end of the Season 5 finale —  she’s dead. Super dead. Absolutely-not-coming-back-from-this-dead.

Meanwhile, the stage is set for Ghost and Tommy’s final (?) confrontation, which gets off to a bullet-ridden start before the latter even really knows it’s begun.

Read on for the highlights of “Murderers.”

IT’S ALREADY TOO LATE | The episode opens moments after the events of the finale, with Angela whisked to the hospital via ambulance. Ghost is freaking out, but he pulls it together enough to dodge questions by the cops on the scene. No, he didn’t see the shooter, he tells them, and they are understandably dubious. He flashes back to various moments in his adult relationship with Angela, but his reverie is interrupted by the arrival of her sister, Paz, who screams that he’s a murderer.

Elsewhere, Tommy makes a beeline to Tasha: He needs an alibi, and he wants her to provide one. “Wait a f—king minute: Who were you there to kill?” she asks, realization dawning. “Ghost tricked me into killing my father. You think I’m gonna let some s—t like that just slide?” he counters. Ooh, Tasha is HOT. “You took a shot at the devil, and you missed!” she rebukes him, adding that if he wants her to vouch for his whereabouts at the time of the shooting, he needs to fix things between him and Ghost.

PROOF OF DEATH | In case we had any doubt about whether or not Angela is really dead, the news is stated outright at an emergency meeting of the AUSA’s office. A stunned Saxe, Robinson and Donovan grieve for about 30 seconds before launching into the game of who’s most to blame for their coworker’s death (and Greg’s… and Mike’s…). Eventually, Saxe says he’ll take the lead on figuring out who killed Angie.

Throughout their discussion, I can’t help but hold onto a small thread of suspicion that Angela isn’t really gone for good. I mean, for a woman in the pickle she was in, a lil’ faked death could do a world of good, and isn’t there SOME way that SOME Fed got to her and convinced her to play possum for the sake of the investigation (and maybe a little legal clemency, to boot)? But all of those thoughts evaporate in the next scene, when Paz sits with her sister’s dead body in the hospital morgue. Angela is laid out like a lox platter past its prime, all cold and graying at the edges, and there’s no doubt that she is most sincerely dead. (Make sure to read our post mortem interview with show boss Courtney Kemp on why Angela had to die in the premiere.)

When Saxe shows up, he asks Paz to authorize an autopsy, and she tells him to go to hell: She knows James St. Patrick is behind her sister’s death, and she refuses to give the Feds permission to further mess with Angela’s body. He argues that the autopsy will allow them to collect evidence, and if she doesn’t acquiesce… and St. Patrick gets away scot-free… “the only person to blame’s gonna be you.” Nice people skills there, Saxe.

Saxe is working on a theory that St. Patrick killed Angela because he thought she was the female witness (whom we know is really Maria Suarez). When he returns to the office, though, he’s surprised to find that Tameika has been fired — somebody’s gotta be the scapegoat! — and she’s been replaced by Jacob Warner (hi, Californication‘s Evan Handler!) Saxe immediately tells his new boss that he is likely the leak that led to Angela getting killed (he told Proctor, remember?) but still thinks that Proctor is their best bet at getting Ghost. In fact, on his way back to the office, he met with the lovably crooked lawyer, slipping him just enough information to try to provoke a second attack. After all, Angela didn’t sign any paperwork, and she wasn’t a Federal witness, which means no automatic death penalty for the person who killed her. But Maria IS a Federal witness, and anyone who tries to take her out would essentially write his or her own death warrant.

Eventually, Det. Rodriguez shows up at Warner’s office and announces that she wants to be part of the AUSA’s task force investigating Angela’s murder. She eventually gets her wish.

TARIQ PLAYS HOOKY | After Tommy meets up with Keisha exactly long enough to tell her that a) Ghost is still alive and b) he needs her to toss his gun in the river, he speeds away with a vague promise to call her. He goes to his apartment, unaware that Ghost is waiting to jump him there. The two have a big, physical fight; during it, Tommy learned that his shot killed Angela and Ghost learns that Tommy knows about Ghost’s shady machinations regarding Teresi. Tariq shows up in the middle of his dad and his uncle beating the snot out of each other, and Omari Hardwick’s delivery of the line “Why aren’t you in school?!” makes me laugh out loud. For reasons I do not understand, Ghost gives his kid 10 minutes to talk to Tommy alone, then leaves the apartment.

He heads over to meet Tasha at the nightclub, where he informs her that “the woman I love is gone.” Well, DAMN. She, in turn, demands to know the whereabouts of Terry, “the man that I loved” — but she’s pretty sure he’s dead. She also announces that she wants a divorce.

Later, Ghost lets Proctor know that he was wrong about Angela being the Feds’ witness, and Proctor tells Ghost about the other female witness. Proctor suggests giving Tommy up, but Ghost says he’d prefer to kill him instead. That little nugget of information, however, is left out when St. Patrick and his lawyer voluntarily meet with the AUSA’s office. Ghost spins a story about how he and Angie met up at their old high school so she could tell him she wasn’t going to testify against him, and Saxe and Donovan definitely don’t believe him. But he continues the lie, saying he has no idea who killed AUSA Valdes.

SMOKE HIM IF YOU’VE GOT HIM | Meanwhile, when Tommy meets with his primeras and gives them news they don’t want to hear — Jason is delaying delivery of the product until Ghost’s check clears — a couple start to revolt. “You ain’t s—t without Ghost,” one mouths off, so Tommy shoots and kills him, right there in the room. Pretty much everyone falls in line after that.

Sometime later, he and Tariq are on the roof of Tommy’s building. Tommy cues up some Bone Thugs-n-Harmony (ha!) to set an appropriate mood, because Tariq is going to scatter Kanan’s ashes over Manhattan. Tommy scoops up some of his mentor’s remains and smokes them (eeeew), then informs ‘Riq about his father’s role in Teresi’s death. “How would you feel is something really bad happened to him?” he asks the teen, and Tariq replies that he’s not sure. Then they reaffirm that they’ll always be there for each other. It’s sweet… until we notice that Ghost is watching them as Tariq says goodbye in front of the building.

The next time we see Raina’s evil twin, he’s in the passenger seat while Tasha drives him back to Choate. He’s happy to learn of Angela’s death, but Mama St. Patrick sets him straight, and fast. She points out that Ghost’s mistress kept his adolescent butt — as well as pretty much everyone they know — out of jail, and they should be grateful. (Side note: And if you ever told me in Season 1 that TASHA would be saying this about ANGELA in Season 6, I’d have told you to keep on smoking whatever Ghost was selling. Crazy how people change, eh?

Then again, our girl is still the same at her core: When she meets her mother for a bite to eat, Estelle thinks Tasha’s plan to divorce Ghost is a foolish one. “You really think Ghost is gonna let you walk away?” she asks. But Tasha merely says she’s going to get even with her husband herself. Is it wrong that THIS is the showdown I will most eagerly await all season?

YOUR MOVE, TOMMY | After Ghost visits Paz and offers to pay for Angela’s funeral — an offer which is loudly and soundly rejected — Paz meets with Saxe and changes her mind, allowing him to move forward with the autopsy on her sister. Elsewhere, Keisha dresses like a cat burglar and throws Tommy’s gun into the river, like he requested. And Tariq calls Ghost from school and asks if he knows who killed Angela. Ghost says no, but he appears to be touched by his son’s reaching out. Afterward, though, the teen tells his boarding-school roommate that he’s just playing nice with his dad “for now.”

Then all that’s left is for Tommy to see Jason, who seems very jovial as he embraces the younger man and they talk about finally moving his product. Jason has one of his underlings bring Tommy’s car around the front of the warehouse where they’re meeting — and Ghost is lying in wait for the perfect moment. He opens fire on the vehicle, strafing it with bullets from a machine gun, and there is a LOT of blood splattered all over the interior before he’s done. Ghost thought it was Tommy in the car. Heck, the audience is made to think it’s Tommy — even Tommy doesn’t know how it all went down until he realizes why Jason got a little cuddly earlier. “That weird hug. You took my keys!” he says. Jason wants to know if Tommy is going to run, or stand and fight. Afterward, while having a drink at Lakeisha’s apartment, Tommy tells her he didn’t kill Ghost — “and I’m beginning to regret that decision.” He declares war and offers to send her and Cash away for their own safety. “If I can help you,” she vows, “I’m staying.”

At Angela’s apartment, Ghost finds a photo of them as teenagers in her drawer. “Sorry, Angie,” he says to her door as he lets himself out. Then he cries approximately half a tear for the love of his life, and leaves.

Now it’s your turn. What did you think of the premiere? Grade the episode via the poll below, then hit the comments with your thoughts!

Kim Kardashian looks stunning in silver swimsuit on beach day with daughter Chicago – The Sun

KIM Kardashian dazzled her millions of Instagram followers today in a silver swimsuit as she hit the beach with her daughter Chicago.

Reality icon Kim, 38, played in the sand with her little girl, one, in the idyllic location before taking a dip in the ocean.

She knelt on a towel and gave Chi a kiss on the cheek in one cute snap.

Meanwhile she modelled a nude bikini beside sister Khloe and pal La La Anthony and claimed they could be the new Charlie's Angels.

She wrote: "Hi Charlie 📞 *We would be a 💣 Charlie’s Angels Cast*"

The sizzling snaps were a return to form for Kim after she was accused of a photoshopping blunder as a new promo pic for her perfume collaboration with sister Kyle Jenner seemed to show her with six toes.

Fans spotted the mistake as Kim unveiled campaign images for her latest KKW fragrance launch on her Instagram page.

In the pictures, the sisters wore one-legged latex bodysuits which cling to their famous curves.

Both carried one of their lip-shaped fragrance bottles, which come in three different scents: red lips, pink lips and nude lips.

"She's been wearing my perfumes forever so this collab is extra special because I know how much she loves the process," Kim said of her 22 year-old billionaire sister.

"Finding her perfect scent was impossible to we narrowed it down to her three favourites."

But unfortunately for the mogul siblings, it's not the fragrances that have got people talking.

As soon as Kim dropped the images, fans spotted what looked like a sixth toe on her left foot – and wasted no time pointing it out.

"Why you got 6 toes?" one follower posted underneath the picture.

A second said: "Am i tripping or does Kim have 6 toes? Someone please explain. I'm so confused I counted so many times."

Even celebrity blogger Perez Hilton weighed in, writing: "That sixth toe is iconic."
But while many felt the extra toe was an example of photoshopping gone wrong, others thought there was a more simple explanation.

"Maybe it's a bunion," suggested one, while another claimed it was just an optical illusion.

"It looks like a sixth toe, but it's not," explained the keen-eyed observer. "It's the edge of her foot."

Regardless of whether someone got a bit too eager with the retouching or not, Kim wasn't letting the criticism bother her.

She later posted another picture of herself sat atop a pair of giant lips and explained what the different scents smell like.

"Red Lips is an opulent white floral, Pink Lips is a solar floral coconut & Nude Lips is a vanilla amber musk," she revealed.

And she could hardly contain her excitement about the launch.

"Each scent is so juicy I don’t have any other words," she wrote. "I can’t wait for you guys to get them on Aug 23."

Pre-order link goes live for Weston Cage Coppola, Jesse Kove’s D-Day film

Breaking news from the official Twitter account of Jesse Kove states that the WWII thriller, D-Day, starring Weston Cage Coppola, Jesse Kove, Randy Couture, and Chuck Liddell, is now available for pre-order.

For many, September 13, the release date for the WWII epic, can’t get here fast enough. Nick Lyon’s D-Day has fans of the greatest generation (which is all of us) buzzing, as the film has become somewhat of a darling among pundits — and for good reason. D-Day truly is a must-watch movie that captures the spirit of American pride.

The movie features two rising stars in Jesse Kove and Weston Cage Coppola. It also includes MMA legends Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. The actors combine for completely stellar performances portraying (real) characters who played critical roles in the battle of Pointe du Hoc, a mission that directly aided Operation Overlord — the invasion of Normandy Beach.

D-Day was the turning point of WWII, as it gave allied forces the advantage over Nazi Germany.

This movie is significant for Weston Cage Coppola and Jesse Kove for many reasons, the greatest being that — as the two actors recently explained in interviews with us here at M&C — they were childhood friends and were both hired as leads in D-Day without realizing it (see below).

Breaking Bad film release date, cast, trailer, plot: All we know about El Camino

Breaking Bad may have come to an end in 2013, but that was not the last that fans would see of the beloved characters. Now, Netflix has unveiled a new film set in Walter White’s universe called El Camino. Set to reunite some of the key members of the original series, the thriller will tell the story of what happened after the dramatic finale of season five.

When is El Camino released on Netflix?

Over the past few months, information has been shrouded in secrecy around the possibility of a Breaking Bad film.

In fact, Better Call Saul actor Bob Odenkirk only revealed it had actually been filmed last week in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Now, Netflix has finally announced that not only is it coming but it will be unveiled sooner than you think.

Along with the release of a new trailer, it was revealed the thriller will be released on the streaming platform on October 11.

There is no information yet about whether it will get a cinematic release as some other Netflix films have.

Who is in the cast of El Camino?

Fans will be excited to learn a number of the cast of the long-running television series will be returning for the film.

The major reveal is that the film will focus around Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman, the right hand man to drug lord Walter White (Bryan Cranston).

From the trailer, it was also revealed Charles Baker will be returning as Skinny Pete.

No further cast has yet been announced but there are a number of alive characters who could also be back, including Skyler (Anna Gunn), Marie (Betsy Brandt), and Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).

But could Walter White return? Viewers will remember his tragic death at the end of the long-running show.

So while fans would no doubt be ecstatic to see Bryan Cranston reprise his role, it looks unlikely at the moment with creator Vince Gilligan repeatedly telling fans the character is dead.

Express.co.uk will update this article as soon as more information is released.

What will happen in El Camino?

The new film looks likely to pick up where the series ended as the characters deal with the fall-out of the dramatic finale.

Viewers will remember the brutal M60 shootout at the meth lab at the end of the show left many of the characters, including Walt, dead.

However, Jesse was seen driving away from the scene – and now it seems viewers will find out what happened next.

The official synopsis reads: “In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”

From what is revealed in the trailer, it seems like Jesse is on the run while the police are actively trying to look for him.

Is there a trailer for El Camino?

Yes, a brand new teaser trailer has been released for the film, hinting at what is to come.

In the short one minute clip, fans see Skinny Pete in the interrogation room being questioned about the whereabouts of Jesse.

He says: “I have no idea where he is. Don’t know where he’s headed either. North, south, east, west, Mexico, the moon — I don’t have a clue.

“But yo, even if I did, I wouldn’t tell you because I’ve been watching the news same as everybody else.

“I don’t know what to tell you – no way I’m helping you people put Jesse Pinkman back inside a cage.”

Viewers will get to find out what all of these means in just over a month.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will be released on Netflix on October 11.

RACHEL LINDSAY & BRYAN ABASOLO, THE BACHELORETTE SEASON 13

The history-making Bachelorette (Lindsay is the first-ever black lead of the show) found love with Miami native Abasolo. However, the windy proposal was overshadowed by her heart-wrenching breakup with runner-up Peter Kraus. (She told Kraus she loved him, which had social media abuzz.) Lindsay herself, however, shut down any accusations that she chose the wrong man: “At the end, it was not tough for me,” she told PEOPLE. “Going through it, I felt Bryan was perfect for me. Obviously nobody’s perfect — but perfect for me.” The couple revealed on the season finale that they hadn’t figured out where exactly they’d be relocating to, but were planning on making steps to merge their lives, and are hoping for a wedding sometime in 2019.

NICK VIALL & VANESSA GRIMALDI, THE BACHELOR SEASON 21

The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise mainstay seemed to have found love with fan-favorite Grimaldi, a special education teacher from Montreal. Though he proposed on the season finale, “I think it’s too early for us [to get married],” he shared in March 2017. “We’re still doing a lot of new things together. We’re very open about the fact that we have a long way to go and we’re excited about that journey.” Following a whirlwind courtship, the couple called it quits after five months together, in August 2017. “It’s with a great amount of heartbreak for the both us as we have decided to end our engagement,” the pair told E! in a statement. “We gave this relationship our all and we are saddened that we did not get the fairytale ending we hoped for. We will continue to be there for each other no matter what. This hasn’t been an easy decision, however, as we part ways, we do so with lots of love and admiration for each other.”

AMANDA STANTON & JOSH MURRAY, BACHELOR IN PARADISE SEASON 3

He proposed to Andi Dorfman during his previous stint on The Bachelor franchise, and Murray walked away from the 2016 season of Paradise with yet another new love. And it seemed Murray was settling in very well — he Instagrammed a photo of the foursome with the caption “My new family.” Unfortunately, the engagement didn’t last — they announced their split in January 2017.

JOJO FLETCHER & JORDAN RODGERS, THE BACHELORETTE SEASON 12

It seems that on The Bachelorette, the women know their heart early on. In season 11, Fletcher gave Rodgers the first impression rose, and throughout the season, they had crazy, off-the-charts chemistry. So when Fletcher sent her runner-up Robby Hayes home, no one was surprised — and people were even less shocked when Rodgers got down on one knee. Now, Rodgers lives with Fletcher in her hometown of Dallas.

BEN HIGGINS & LAUREN BUSHNELL, THE BACHELOR SEASON 20

She may not have received the first impression rose, but there was always something special between Higgins and Bushnell. So much so that he told her he loved her (though he told JoJo the same) before the final rose. Months after his proposal, they were still going strong: Bushnell moved to Higgins’ home city of Denver, and they starred in their own reality show, Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After. However, unresolved feelings about their time on the show always weighed on them — even sending them to couples’ counseling — and in May 2017, they announced their split to PEOPLE.

KAITLYN BRISTOWE & SHAWN BOOTH, THE BACHELORETTE SEASON 11

When Booth stepped out of the limo, it was clear that he only had eyes for Bristowe — and she felt the same. “When Shawn came out of the limo, and we talked, I was like, ‘Damn!’ ” she said on their season’s first night. The infatuation only grew from there: Booth proposed during the finale, she accepted, and after the show was over, they subsequently moved in together in Nashville. But the pair announced their split in a November 2018 statement to PEOPLE after months of speculation that they were on the rocks.                         “After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways,” they wrote. “This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration. Even though we are parting as a couple, we’re very much committed to remaining friends.”

Their romance was documented briefly on Bristowe’s season and though the couple remained together once filming wrapped, they ultimately split in the spring of 2015. “Everything on paper was perfect,” Nilsson told PEOPLE exclusively. “But we didn’t have that connection I was looking for.”

ALEX MICHEL & AMANDA MARSH, THE BACHELOR SEASON 1

Surprisingly enough, the very first Bachelor did not actually propose (though he did flash the engagement ring and suggest they move in together). Michel and Marsh started dating exclusively following the finale, but called it off after several months.

Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted preview: Alaska’s Panhandle boasts perfect cocktail glacial ice, seal bits, and amazing King Salmon

The finale of National Geographic Channel’s Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted airs this Sunday, as Gordon journeys to the southeast Alaskan panhandle. This resource-rich narrow strip of islands is exposed to all the elements, and it is a sea whipped expanse and a brutal environment that Gordon calls “bloody cold” with apex predators all about.

But with great risks comes rewards as the entire area is a bounty of incredible ingredients for a savvy chef.

Ramsay journeys to the rugged Panhandle to learn survival skills and discover regional Alaskan cuisine. He gleans a lot of intel from the locals and then applies this knowledge for a feast with legendary local chef Lionel Uddipa.

The intrepid chef and Scotsman is game for it all. In this episode, he will hunt grouse, scale cliffs for a special fungus, fish for King Salmon, and learn the art of serving seal guts. It’s a great all-American wilderness finale for a run that took us from Morocco to Laos.

Gordon meets with Lionel Uddipa, an executive chef in Juneau who is a master of Alaskan ingredients. “Lionel lured me up here with the promise of an incredible meal…” says Gordon, who keels over in the snow on their initial hike.

Gordon is fit, mind you, but then there’s Alaska fit, and Ramsay needs a bit more training.

Some salmon belly, mushroom tea, and moose sticks to replenish, and Gordon and Lionel will hatch a plan to have Gordon cook for local fishermen. Lionel also cautions Gordon about the bears. It’s Alaska and there are always bears.

Juneau (pronounced Hoo-nah) is home base as Gordon meets with local fisherman Josh and learns brown bears outnumber people in the immediate area. More on him after the first physical challenge for Gordon.

Old man’s beard (Chaga mushroom) is a fungus up in a tree on a cliff and it’s the first scavenger task for Gordon.

Local Alaskan forager Alan Gordon takes Gordon to Chimney Rock, where they scale 60 feet of sheer rock face during a snowstorm to harvest this delicacy.

The volatile chef is pretty strapping and he climbs the rock pillar at the edge of a rough sea to fetch this tea delicacy. “If you are not prepared, boy, it’s going to take you down,” he says about navigating America’s wildest state.

Juneau is home to a large indigenous native Alaskan population, and only native Alaskans can hunt certain mammals, like seal.

One of the most eye-popping things you will witness in this finale is Gordon blowing into the bronchial tubes of a seal’s lungs to inflate them so they are more tender to eat.

He also gets a lesson in seal intestine braiding.

These native people have a special recipe for the flippers too.

Have I lost you?

Come back, there’s so much deliciousness in this episode. We promise! Let’s talk King Salmon. More appealing than an inflated seal’s lung, right?

Gordon heads out to fish with Josh and learns how to properly bait a sharp hook. He casts a line and learns a terrible lyric set to the music of rock classic Wild Thing from Josh. “Wild King, you make my heart sing…” sings Josh. Then he shares his special bear mauling story and Gordon turns grey.

The guys catch no fish, but luckily Josh has a spare King in the cooler. Gordon scales and guts the fish and tells him they’d be selling it for up to 90 pounds a serving, and over 500 pounds just for one fish. Of the prized King Salmon, Gordon says: “It’s that rare.” Gordon tasks Josh to catch another King Salmon to be the centerpiece for his planned feast.

My favorite part of this episode?

The hunt for the perfect cocktail ice cube from a glacier on an Alaskan fjord.

The glaciers have the purest ice imaginable and it is simply perfect for a craft cocktail.  My new spirit animal is Michelle Costello who is known as “The Ice Queen”  as she mines local glaciers for this crystal-like pristine cocktail ice. The two set out to lasso a free-floating iceberg and turn it to jagged diamond-like ice cubes for cocktails.

“This is the most work for a f****** ice cube I have ever done in my entire life,” jokes Gordon. We appreciate his efforts.

The stunning menu includes Gravlax served with a honey mustard sauce, cured with a compound of mashed Juniper berries, gin, and spruce tips. A chowder with octopus, halibut cheeks and pork fat, and an Alaskan board of smoked black cod served with creme fraiche, horseradish and pumpernickel toast grilled and potatoes roasted in seal fat. The main dish is salmon fillets cooked in beurre blanc with a bit of seal bacon and a side dish of potatoes.

The chefs get the highest marks for not overcooking the salmon which is why these local fishermen refuse to order salmon in restaurant noting the two men did it just right. Cue the smiles.

How the 'Cobra Kai' Stunt Coordinators Pulled Off That Epic High School Fight

Cobra Kai fans have a long wait until season 3, and season 2 left them with quite a cliffhanger. The second season of the Karate Kid revival series featured an epic martial arts battle between all the high school characters on the first day of school. It ended in serious injury for one of the main characters and we have to wait until season 3 to find out what happens to him.

Stunt co-ordinators Hiro Koda and Jahnel Curfman are back at work on season 3 of Cobra Kai. They are nominated for an Emmy this year for their stunt coordination on season 2, so they spoke with Showbiz Cheat Sheet about that work. They mention some spoilers for season 2 of Cobra Kai in case you haven’t binged it all yet. Cobra Kai is currently available on YouTube Premium.

They had no extra time for the biggest fight in ‘Cobra Kai’ history

Even though it was the climax of the entire season, Cobra Kai couldn’t afford any more days to film the high school fight.

“With having zero time to put that all together, it was quite a feat,” Koda said. “Thank goodness we have an amazing cast and stunt team that was able to pull them together. It had an 88-second oner in the hallway. There was so much stuff in that sequence.”

The process for designing the fight was the same as any fight on Cobra Kai.

“[Creators] Jon [Hurwitz], Josh [Heald] and Hayden [Schlossberg] gave us the script for [episode] 10 and it was a lot of fighting,” Curfman said. “So we just took the script and did what we normally do. We broke it down. We started to organize it into smaller pieces, smaller bits of choreography that would all come together to create the final sequence.”

The high school fight in ‘Cobra Kai’ all leads to a big injury

Here’s the big spoiler for the season finale of Cobra Kai season 2. The high school fight ends when Robbie (Tanner Buchanan) kicks Miguel (Xolo Mariduena) off the stairs and breaks his back on the railing. The whole fight was built towards that moment and other confrontations between characters.

“That was the other thing was playing on a lot of those emotional beats between the different characters,” Curfman said, “So it was like taking into account all of these things that these characters have been battling with and incorporating that doing the choreography with those emotional points.”

They’re not only fighting over their karate dojos. They’re fighting over betrayed friendships and romantic jealousy too.

“Between Samantha and Tori and what led to that fight, the emotional motivations behind all of that and incorporating it into their fight and then taking that into the piece between Robbie and Miguel,” Curfman said. “There’s a lot of history there, so they’re going to play all of that out. Then you’ve got Demetri and Hawk who have their own issues.”

The ‘Cobra Kai’ high school fight had to balance different martial arts styles

The Cobra Kais and the Miyagi-Do dojos each teach their own style of karate. Within those, each characters has their own personal styles too.

“There were so many different styles that we had to deal with because each character we developed different styles,” Koda said. “The way they move and how the fights are so much more involved with them.”

The cast trained together and separately for ‘Cobra Kai’

Mariduena, Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Peyton List and Gianni Decenzo were not martial artists before Cobra Kai. They train before each season begins and continue throughout.

“We spend quite a bit of time before the season starts and then during the two weeks of prep,” Curfman said. “Then even as we get into the shooting schedule we have a training schedule for each member of the cast. Some of them we’re bringing in together. Some of them we’re bringing in separately because they have to be on set or they have fittings or whatever it may be, but that is something that we schedule into the entire season as well as leading up to the season, training the actors.”

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Director J.J. Abrams Says Carrie Fisher's Character Is 'Heart of This Story'

The last Star Wars trilogy is almost complete — and Rey and Finn are facing their biggest villain yet.

A new poster for the highly-anticipated Episode IX debuted at D23 on Saturday with director J.J Abrams speaking on a panel to discuss the upcoming film.

“The character of Leia is really, in a way, the heart of this story. We realized we could not possibly tell the end of these nine films without Leia,” he said about Carrie Fisher’s iconic character. The movie marks Fisher’s last movie role, as she died shortly before the film started shooting.

“We realized that we had footage from Episode VII, and we could use it in a new way,” Abrams said.

Starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac, the movie finishes up the Skywalker saga that George Lucas kicked off with 1977’s Star Wars: A New Hope.

RELATED: Filming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Without Carrie Fisher Was ‘Very Emotional’ for Daisy Ridley

Last year, Abrams revealed that he planned to use previously “unseen footage” shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens of Fisher for the film. Fisher died on Dec. 26, 2016, after suffering a cardiac arrest on a flight.

“We desperately loved Carrie Fisher,” Abrams said. “Finding a truly satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga without her eluded us. We were never going to recast or use a CG character. With the support and blessing from her daughter, Billie, we have found a way to honor Carrie’s legacy and role as Leia in Episode IX by using unseen footage we shot together in Episode VII.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to premiere on December 20, 2019.

Here's The First Trailer For "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series"

The wait is OVER! The trailer for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series HAS ARRIVED!

View this video on YouTube

Now in case you’re like, “Wha? That’s a mouthful!” Allow me to break it down for you, hmm?

The mockumentary follows Miss Jenn and the students of East High School as they put on a production of High School Musical — yes, the one with Zac Efron.

Miss Jenn was “shocked, inspired, and triggered as a millennial” to find out that the high school where High School Musical was shot has never put on a production of High School Musical. Wild, I know. So, she decides that this is the time to put it on — it’s either now or never.

The kids of EHS may THINK this is just gonna be a regular ol’ production, but it rarely ever is when teenagers and their feelings get involved.

Teens + song and dance RARELY makes for smooth and calm content.

The main conflict of the series seems to revolve around our Troy and Gabriella, played by Ricky and Nini.

Ricky and Nini used to date but Ricky needed to “take a pause,” which resulted in the end of their relationship. Now that Nini has moved on to E.J., the only way Ricky knows how to get her back is to audition for Troy in The Musical since Nini is dead set on playing Gabriella. So, when Ricky and Nini get cast as the leads, this causes a LOT of teen-related drama, drama that I quite literally live for.

SO, be sure to tune into Disney+ on Nov. 12 to catch High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Boy, do I love the ~start of something new~.
