After being ousted at ‘CBS Evening News,’ Jeff Glor to stay with network

Jeff Glor — who was ignominiously ousted as the anchor of “CBS Evening News” after just a year and a half in the job — has decided to stay with the network, Page Six can reveal.

We’re told that after lengthy negotiations with CBS News president Susan Zirinsky, Glor will move over to “CBS This Morning: Saturday.”

He will co-host with Dana Jacobson and Michelle Miller, beginning June 22.

Glor will also serve as a CBS News Special correspondent, helming an ongoing series, “Who We Are,” which will feature “inspiring stories across the country similar to his reporting on Gold Star families and people across America defying the odds.”

Glor has been replaced in the storied “CBS Evening News” chair by Norah O’Donnell, who long seemed to be waiting in the wings as Glor’s ratings tumbled. His exit was announced on May 3.

She moved over from “CBS This Morning.”
