Carly Pearce Had Her Front Teeth Knocked Out in a Very Scary Accident Ahead of the CMA Awards
Last night’s CMA Awards were phenomenal, and country star Carly Pearce absolutely crushed her performance of “I Hope You’re Happy Now” alongside Charles Kelley. But while fans were infatuated with Carly’s number, she was actually recovering from a scary accident which left her without her two front teeth.
“I fell and knocked my two front teeth out,” Carly told E! News, sharing that the accident took place on Halloween. “I had a bunch of stitches in my mouth, looked completely different than what I looked like right now, and it was kind of scary because I knew I was going into the biggest week of my life.”
Ahead of the performance, Carly recalled feeling nervous because everything was “so bad” after her fall. “It looked really bad. It was scary. I was just really fortunate to get doctors that helped and knew the pressure I was under,” she added. “But with every day, I was like, ‘Please Lord, let my face heal so I can do this,’ because this is such a huge moment.”
The good news? If Carly hadn’t mention the accident, it’s pretty likely no one at home would’ve realized she suffered a massive injury. Carly also managed to get a big win ahead of the CMA Awards— she won the Musical Event of the Year Award for her single “I Hope You’re Happy Now,” which originally featured Lee Brice.
“I am just really grateful. I am happy now!” Carly concluded. We love to hear it!
