George Michael's partner Fadi Fawaz left out of £98 million will
George Michael has reportedly left his partner Fadi Fawaz out of his will, leaving the bulk of his £97.6 million fortune to his sisters.
The star died on Christmas Day 2016, but his estate can now be divided after court paperwork was filed on 30 May this year.
And according to The Sun, both Fadi, who George was with for four years, and George’s former boyfriend of 15 years Kenny Goss have both been left out of the will.
George’s beloved sisters Melanie and Yioda will get an equal share of all the star’s major assets, including his two London homes.
His father Kyriacos, or Jack, has been left a horse racing stud, where he has lived for a number of years, while The Mill Charitable Trust – which George set up himself in 2009 – has been given artwork and antiques including a piano belonging to John Lennon.
The rest of the £98 million will be shared between a host of the Faith singer’s closest friends – former Wham! backing singer Shirlie Kemp, record producer David Austin, family pal Sonia Bird, his publicist Connie Filippello, George’s cousin Alex Georgiou, model Kay Beckenham, and the star’s former PA Michelle May.
A source told the newspaper that Yioda has been put in charge of who will get what amongst George’s friends, saying: ‘It’s a lovely gesture to name his closest friends.
‘But in the end he’s left it all up to Yioda. He knew she’d always do the right thing.’
While Fadi has not been left any of George’s estate, he is still living at a house owned by the Careless Whisper singer in Regent’s Park in London – despite repeated requests for him to leave the property.
Fadi, a hairdresser, started dating George in 2012, and was the one to find the music legend dead in bed at his home in Oxfordshire on 25 December 2016.
American businessman Kenny Goss alleged that Fawaz arrived late for George’s funeral in 2017 and did not attend the wake, as well as claiming he was not mentioned in any speeches by George’s sister Melanie or was not spoken to by his father.
Kenny, who dated George from 1996 until 2011, told The Sun at the time: ‘Melanie stood up and said some amazing things about myself and other guests. She talked about how in love George was with me and how excited he was to meet me.
‘She mentioned almost everybody there including Andrew Ridgeley and Martin Kemp. I do not recall her mentioning Fadi.’
