Gigi Hadid finally unveils baby bump as she raves about ‘exciting’ pregnancy

Gigi Hadid has finally unveiled her baby bump, months after announcing her pregnancy.

The model is set to welcome her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik later this year.

And, appearing on an Instagram Live stream – to promote her Gigi Journal Part II with V Magazine – the 25-year-old opened up about why she has kept her bump under wraps on social media.

‘I’m so grateful for the positive comments and the questions, and wanting to know we’re all good and safe,’ she began.

‘Everything going is great and I love you guys. I do appreciate those positive comments.

‘A lot of people are confused by why I am not sharing more but I am pregnant through a pandemic.

‘Obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world. That’s the reason I’ve felt it’s not something I need to share, apart from with my family and friends.

‘Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus – that was in the beginning of quarantine and it’s still happening.

‘And then we moved into the re-emergence of the BLM movement and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.’

Gigi has kept information about her pregnancy on the downlow so far on social media, after confirming her baby news on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

However, this led to trolls accusing her of ‘disguising’ her bump – something she clapped back at recently.

And the mum-to-be teased that we would be seeing more pictures of her pregnancy journey ‘in the future’.

‘I have been taking a lot of pictures of my bump, and sending it to my friends and family, and it’s been really cute and exciting,’ she continued to viewers.

‘I have been trying to document well it because people say don’t miss it. I will be sharing that in the future, I’m just not rushed to do it.

‘Right now I just want to experience it and I write in my journal a lot…

‘I just don’t want to worry about waking up every day during my pregnancy and worry about looking cute and post something.’

Fair enough.
