Glenn Close appears to have taken her eighth Oscar loss well as she was seen showing off her dance moves, shaking her hips to Da Butt last night.
The 74 year old made Oscars history after she missed out on an award for the eighth time at the 93rd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday 25 April.
She became the first female and the second person ever to gain the unwanted record, with the only other person to achieve eight Oscar snubs being late British actor Peter O’Toole.
Glenn had been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Netflix drama Hillbilly Elegy. The actress lost out to Minari star Yuh-Jung Youn.

Before her Hillbilly Elegy nod, Glenn was nominated for her roles in The Wife in 2019, Albert Nobbs in 2012, Dangerous Liaisons in 1989, Fatal Attraction in 1988, The Natural in 1985, The Big Chill in 1984 and The World According to Garp in 1983.
Despite her record-breaking loss, Glenn appeared in high spirits as she showed off her dancing skills after being challenged to dance to Da Butt.
Glenn showed off her knowledge of the 1988 song as well as her dance moves after she was quizzed by Lil Rel Howery.
During a segment about Oscar nominated songs, the tune played and Glenn revealed: “I know that, that’s Da Butt.
“That’s Da Butt, I know that. Da Butt was a classic song by the great Washington DC go-go band EU [Experience Limited].
“And shout out to Sugar Bear and the Backyard Band and the whole DMV. I remember this, Spike Lee had it written for his brilliant movie School Daze. And my friends at The Oscars missed it and it wasn’t nominated so it couldn’t have won which I think is a…”
Glenn’s next words and bleeped out, which caused the audience to erupt into laughter.
Impressed by her knowledge, Lil Rel Howery, 41, said: “I wasn’t expecting that at all that you knew Da Butt. It’s dope and uncomfortable at the same time but do you know the dance, though?”
