Katie Price would be slated if she left baby like ITV Im A Celebs Danny Miller

Katie Price has spoken out and said that she would have been “slated” for going on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here if she had a newborn at home.

The mother of five comments refer to Emmerdale actor, Danny Miller, who has entered Gwrych castle in Wales for the latest series of I’m a Celeb, just three weeks after he welcomed his son with his fiancé, Steph Jones.

Katie took to her Instagram stories to discuss the double standards between fatherhood and motherhood to her 2.7 million followers.

The 43 year old said: “The guy with the newborn, I think it’s brilliant he’s come on the show.

"Bearing in mind if I had just had a baby I am sure I would be slated, would just like to put that in."

The reality star appeared on the 2004 version of the show set in the Australian jungle, where she met her former husband, Peter Andre. At the time, the reality star only had one child, her one year old son, Harvey.

On Monday, Danny’s fiancé, Steph, appeared on Lorraine to discuss her partners "difficult decision" to go into the castle and admitted it was a “big opportunity” for him to appear on the hit ITV show.

She explained: “It was a really difficult decision being so close to the birth.

“But when we sat down and discussed it as a family, it’s a big opportunity and he’s always wanted to do it. It’s his favourite show to watch.”

The brand new series began on Sunday night with the celebrities going head to head to fight for their survival and food in each camp.

From the start, the 30 year old actor admitted his biggest issue would be eating trials due to his weak gag reflex and tendency to throw up, as he demonstrated by swallowing his sick three times on the helicopter on the way to the first challenge.

Danny’s honesty on the first show led to him being voted as the first celebrity to face the gruesome eating trial, Dreaded Diner alongside his volunteer opponent, Snoochie Shy.

On Monday, Danny faced his fears and fought back his reflexes as he worked his way through the disgusting delicacies including cow nipple and lamb’s brains.

The duo were neck and neck throughout the challenge, which saw Danny spew into his emergency bucket several times after successfully completing each twisted treat.

However, Danny beat Snoochie in the final challenge by drinking the glass of blended critters the fastest to win his campmates a much-needed meal after their first night of rice and beans.

Danny, alongside teammates Richard Madeley, Dame Arlene Phillips, Naughty Boy and camp heartthrob David Ginola, are currently residing in Castle Clink below the main camp in cramped, basic conditions.
