Lorraine Kelly hits out as TV rival Jeremy Vine airs unusual segment: I draw the line
Lorraine Kelly, 61, took to Twitter to show her followers an unusual segment on Jeremy Vine earlier today. The presenter posted the message to her 645,900 Twitter followers.
Right. I draw the line.
Lorraine retweeted a shot of the Jeremy Vine show that had an unusual segment headline.
The segment was titled: “Penguins may be aliens.”
This must have shocked Lorraine, who left a comment on her retweet.
She said: “Right. I draw the line.”

Fans were quick to comment their view on this unusual segment.
One said: “Lorraine – are you defending penguins or sartorial good sense?”
Another said: “Madam, I think I have to draw many lines after that!”
A third said: “What even is this?”
A fourth said: “It’s no good pretending anymore we are on to you.
“I don’t mind of course as long as they make you supreme leader. X”
Lorraine and Jeremy both present morning breakfast shows at similar times.
Jeremy Vine is a chat and topical debate show on weekdays from 9.15 till 11.15am.
The show replaced its long running predecessor The Wright Stuff.
This was presented by Matthew Wright for 18 years, until it was announced in 2018 that he would be stepping down.
Similarly, to Jeremy Vine, Lorraine is on ITV weekdays from 9 till 10am.
In January 2020, the show moved to a new time slot, allowing Good Morning Britain and This Morning to both be extended by 30 minutes.
Production of Lorraine, however, was suspended during the pandemic.
From March 22 to July 13 there was no Lorraine.
She wasn’t off the air for long as she did present a new show for the duration named Good Morning Britain with Lorraine.
You can watch Lorraine weekdays from 9am.
