Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen has been defended by her fans after receiving online abuse from trolls for starting to share adverts on her social media channels.

The mum-of-nine has been allowing her followers glimpses into her life in the rural countryside ever since becoming one of the stars of the Channel 5 show.

But she started to receive immense criticism when she started posting ads, which have included posts about here partnership with supermarket Morrisons.

The 46 year old has shared images and videos of her preparing fresh and tasty meat and other dishes, all with products bought from the grocery chain.

In one recent post, she filmed herself cooking a joint of lamb for a family meal as she praised Morrisons as “British farming’s biggest champions" – which left her followers divided.

But while some wrote nasty comments about Amanda “selling out”, others were determined to stick up for the Yorkshire star.

"Love Amanda and Clive and all the kids, why do we have to have ignorant people who are do rude?” one person encouraged. “If you don't like their posts then don't follow – dead easy. No need to be rude."

"If Morrison’s were paying me, I’d happily show them my cooking skills,” another praised.

“A girl’s got to earn a living. If you don’t like it, don’t follow her. I think she’s inspirational.”

A third fan begged for the “negativity” on Amanda’s feed to stop, while others enthused about the delicious-looking meal.

"Times change, things move on. The Pandemic has caused suffering for all. Be kind,” a fourth commenter added.

Last month, Amanda spoke out about her decision to continue promoting different brands and responded to her critics as well as that of her eldest daughter Raven.
