Prince Albert of Monaco’s daughter lands ‘Mrs. Maisel’ role
Prince Albert of Monaco’s love child, Jazmin Grace Grimaldi has landed a role in the upcoming season of the Amazon hit “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” Page Six has learned.
The blonde, who so far has had a few small acting roles, posted a picture on Instagram of herself in full costume on the set of the award-winning show, which stars Rachel Brosnahan.
She captioned the snap,“And that’s a wrap . . . for now. Thank you for a MARVELOUS first experience!”
Although she’s can’t dish what her role is, she told Page Six when we reached out for comment that she “had a great time” filming.
Grimaldi’s mom, Tamara Rotolo, had a fling with the monarch of the small principality when she was a waitress on vacation on the Côte d’Azur in 1991. Rotolo, now a real estate agent, raised Grimaldi in
California — and Jazmin first met her royal dad when she was 11. They now have a solid relationship. He confirmed his paternity in 2006.
Grimaldi is, of course, also the granddaughter of Hollywood icon Grace Kelly, who was married to Prince Albert’s father, Prince Rainier of Monaco.
Grimaldi also posted a photo of Kelly — and her other grandmother, Jean — writing: “Working on the tv show #themarvelousmrsmaisel set in the 1950s I couldn’t help but walk down memory lane and draw inspiration from my beautiful Grandmothers Grace and Jean! Miss and love you both.” (Kelly died 10 years before Grimaldi was born.)
Grimaldi, who has sung in her own cabaret shows, is dating singer-songwriter and model Ian Mellencamp, nephew of John Mellencamp.
Although she’s close to her cousin Pauline Ducruet — daughter of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco — who lives in New York, it’s unknown if Grimaldi attended the high society wedding of her cousin Charlotte Casiraghi to film producer Dimitri Rassam in Monaco on Saturday, with royalty including the bride’s mom Princess Caroline of Hanover .
