Meghan Markle latest news – Duchess dramatically FIRED Archie's nanny after mystery 'incident' in middle of night

MEGHAN Markle dramatically fired Archie's nanny following a mysterious "incident" in the middle of the night, it is claimed.

According to Meghan's friend Omid Scobie, the nanny was sacked after just a few days in the day when the Duchess and Prince Harry were still experimenting with childcare options.

The "incident" in question, which Scobie didn't explain, was serious enough to permanently put the couple off childcare, according to the Mirror.

Speaking on Channel 4's A Very Royal Baby : From Cradle to Crown, Omid Scobie said: "Very few people know the real story behind it.

"After Archie's arrival, Harry and Meghan wanted some help to establish a sleep pattern. They hired a night nanny.

"Whilst I can't go into someone else's employment details for legal reasons, it was an incident on one of the first nights that put the couple off from having a night nurse."

YOU'VE MADE YOUR BED, LIE IN IT – FORMER ROYAL EDITOR SAYS

Duncan Larcombe has told talkRADIO they should simply move on with their lives and stop the royal family slander.

"Look at the evidence, Meghan has got everything and way more than she could have ever dreamed of," he said.

"Prince Harry has given up everything, he is angry and he is letting his emotions flow out every single day.

"I think there has to be a point where someone says 'Harry sort your stuff out with Meghan and enjoy this life you have chosen but stop having these open heart surgery sessions on the internet'. It is not the right place for it."

WHY WAS MEG AND HARRY'S FOUNDATION BEING INVESTIGATED?

The MWX Foundation, formerly Sussex Royal, charity was investigated after Republic, which campaigns for an elected head of state, claimed it had breached UK charity laws.

The pressure group reported the Sussexes and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's foundations to the Commission for alleged "inappropriate use of charitable funds, conflicts of interest and lack of independence".

Republic has now issued a lengthy apology on its website.

It says that it "falsely claimed" the transfer of funds was improper and likely to be unlawful, and that it failed to contact the Royal Foundation or Sussex Royal before going to the Commission and the media.

The pressure group said: "If we had contacted the organisations directly, we accept we would have realised quickly that there was nothing improper in their operations.

"The Charity Commission has now concluded its review and found that all activities of the charities were lawful and proper."

HARRY 'IS PLAYING THE BLAME GAME'

Harry is "hell-bent on blaming everyone else for his problems" – particularly his father Charles, a royal expert has claimed.

Robert Jobson, who was friends with Princess Diana and has written books on Philip and Charles, said the Duke of Sussex has behaved "shamefully" in recent weeks.

"I thought it was pathetic actually," he said. "He was hell-bent on blaming everyone else for his problems and mainly his father.

"He attacked his father, then he attacked his grandmother and shamefully his grandfather, who has just been buried.

“I understand why Harry has to make a living but does he have to make a living continuously whining on about his family and the woes he believes were inflicted upon him?"

KATE MIDDLETON PRAISES "HUGE SACRIFICES" MADE BY NURSES

Kate Middleton has hailed nurses after the "hardest of years" while thanking them for their "huge sacrifices" during the pandemic.

The Duchess of Cambridge looked sombre in an emotional video posted online as she recounted the difficult past few months which has seen the NHS pushed to its limits.

But the mum-of-three praised nurses for helping the UK to get through the Covid pandemic, saying they had been "tested, needed and appreciated".

Kate Middleton addressed nurses in new video message

Kate said: "When Nursing Now was launched in 2018, we had no way of knowing just how much the work, dedication and infinite care of nurses would be tested, needed and appreciated.

"Covid 19 has highlighted the vital role that nurses provide which we all rely on and it's made all the more extraordinary when we consider the huge sacrifices and personal demands that have been placed on all of you by the pandemic.

"It has been the hardest of years and my heartfelt thanks to you and your colleagues around the world for the incredible work you do every day."

HARRY AND WILLS COULD BE REUNITED OVER RAGE AT BASHIR

Prince Harry and his brother William may be reunited over their joint rage at Martin Bashir, and could come together to unveil a statue of their mum Diana, a royal expert has claimed.

Harry, 36, and William, 38, fell out as the Duke of Sussex left the Royal Family to move to the United States with his wife Meghan Markle.

However, royal expert Robert Jobson said the brothers could heal their relationship as they both slammed BBC journalist Bashir's controversial Panorama interview with Diana in 1995.

He told the ABC's HeirPod podcast: "This may – their indignation at the BBC – may bring them all together, because frankly the feuding, blaming, finger pointing has to stop at some stage.

"I'd hope that any sons, whoever they are, royal or not, could have decency to come together to pay tribute to their mother who they lost at a very early age, and pay their respects thoughtfully and with honour.

"I think to continue this feuding is both pointless and upsetting for everybody, I don't think doing our Royal Family any good in its brand abroad, and at some stage they have got to sit down and talk, so why not sit down and talk after the unveiling of statue of someone who did so much good for so many people around the world?"

PRINCE LOUIS FIRST ROYAL TO LOSE MALE PRIVILEGE

Prince Louis, 3, has become the first member of the royal family to loose his prestigious place in line to the throne after the Queen opted to change the rules.

Traditionally, the male preference primogeniture favoured males as heirs, regardless of whether they had an older sister.

Age now trumps gender after the Queen altered the tradition – and little Louis is the frst royal to be affected by the change.

He is now fifth in line to the throne, behind his big sister Charlotte, 6.

But, all of Wills kids still beat Prince Harry to the punch and are above him in the line of succession.

PRINCE HARRY "CONSTANTLY" FEARS LOSING MEG LIKE HE LOST HIS MOTHER

Prince Harry "constantly" fears losing his wife Meghan the same way he lost his mother amid constant battles with the press, a royal expert said.

Author Angela Levin tweeted: "How dreadful if Harry constantly thinks that he will lose Meghan like he did Diana and blames racism. Plus can't get rid of M's threat to commit suicide."

But she also believes Harry needs to reevaluate his position – because "his life sounds too much for him and he should back away from being a woke lecturing celebrity."

She continued: "Director of The Me You Can't See documentary claims that Harry "volunteered" and was "game for trying something" by exposing his anxiety to a therapist + millions. Recently he's had little perspective on how he comes across or who he hurts. Someone should have saved him from doing so."

The regulator found that the transfer of funds to MWX – which was formerly Sussex Royal: The Foundation – was in line with the governing document of the Royal Foundation and allowed under charity law.

It also found that the transfer of funds by MWX to not-for-profit sustainable travel organisation Travalyst was lawful.

The Commission further found that Travalyst could receive charitable funds for the promotion of sustainable travel only, which is a charitable activity in law, and there was no evidence to suggest that any conflicts of interest between MWX and Travalyst were managed inappropriately.

The charity was investigated after Republic, which campaigns for an elected head of state, reported the Sussexes and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's foundations to the Commission for alleged "inappropriate use of charitable funds, conflicts of interest and lack of independence".

Republic has issued a lengthy apology on its website.

MEGHAN & HARRY'S FOUNDATION DID NOT BREACH CHARITY LAW, REVIEW FINDS

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Sussex Royal foundation did not breach charity law, a review has found.

The Charity Commission concluded the transfer of funds to the Duke of Sussex's Travalyst organisation was in line with the rules – with the couple saying this "confirmed what we knew from the start".

Meghan and Harry shared a statement via their friend Omid Scobie.

It read: "We are pleased that the Charity Commission has confirmed what we knew from the start: that MWX Foundation, formerly Sussex Royal, complied fully with UK charity law in its handling and transferring of funds and grants.

"Today's update provides complete closure to this review and ultimately underscores both the legitimacy of the former charity and the baselessness of the claims against it."

HARRY SAYS ‘I’LL NEVER BE BULLIED INTO SILENCE AGAIN’

Prince Harry has said he will “never be bullied into silence again” in a swipe at the Queen after Megxit.

The Duke of Sussex told Oprah Winfrey in his new documentary The Me You Don’t See he felt compelled to step away from the Royal Family as he was “controlled through fear” and told not to talk about his “trauma”.

Speaking during the Apple TV docuseries, Harry said he did not go to his family when wife Meghan Markle felt suicidal because he was ashamed the situation had got “that bad”.

The duke said he also suspected the royals would not have been able to help.

The 36-year-old said: “That was one of the biggest reasons to leave, feeling trapped and feeling controlled through fear, both by the media and by the system itself which never encouraged the talking about this kind of trauma. Certainly, now I will never be bullied into silence.”

‘HARRY’S CHOICE TO OPEN UP COMES AT A COST’

Harry’s decision to open up about mental health struggles “comes at a cost”, a royal expert has warned.

Brand and reputation management expert Eric Schiffer told the Express: “Prince Harry has every right to describe the private pain that he may have dealt with and being transparent is likely healthy for him and his own personal life.

“But it comes with a cost, because he can’t firewall off his royal DNA and the responsibilities and obligations that come with that.

“His choice to share these personal matters in many ways makes him a greater target and more exposed to being vulnerable on the privacy side.”

‘HARRY IS DOING OPPOSITE OF WHAT QUEEN WANTS’

Prince Harry is “doing the opposite of what the Queen wants”, a royal expert has claimed.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told the Express:  “In once again baring his soul, in a series on mental health with Oprah, The Me You Can’t See, he has highlighted his unhappiness with royal life.

“He is doing the reverse of what the Queen wanted and deliberately harming the monarchy.”

"FAIRYTALE IS WEARING THIN" IN US, COMMENTATOR SAYS

Harry and Meghan have been warned the "fairytale is wearing thin" as US headlines have turned the tides.

Commentator Lee Cohen, who was an expert on Anglo-American matters for the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, said: "Now Americans are getting a chance to see what the couple are really about."

He thinks "recent events" have triggered "more critical assessments" of the Sussexes in the US.

"On both sides of the Atlantic, everyone loves the Cinderella story. But as they have gotten to know Meghan, the Brits saw what she really was – an ambitious self-promoter with a social justice agenda," he wrote.

"The fairytale, replete with evil in-laws and half-siblings, is wearing thin.

"Over the past few days, US headlines have been crying fury, and this can be expected to feed through to general opinion."

MEG "PUT OFF" NANNIES AFTER INCIDENT WITH "IRRESPONSIBLE" NIGHT NURSE

The Sussexes were "put off" employing nannies after an incident with an "irresponsible" night nurse, Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie has said.

"After Archie's arrival, Harry and Meghan wanted some help to establish a sleep pattern. They hired a night nanny," he told Channel 4's A Very Royal Baby: From Cradle to Crown.

"Whilst I can't go into someone else's employment details for legal reasons, it was an incident on one of the first nights that put the couple off from having a night nurse."

"Meghan and Harry were forced to let the nurse go in the middle of her second night for being unprofessional and irresponsible."

They tried out a second nanny, but according to Omid, "Neither found themselves comfortable sleeping through the night without going to check on Archie regularly."

They eventually employed a third, who helped them out "on a 9-5 basis" that turned out to be a "great working relationship", before they moved to California.

HARRY TOUCHES ON HIS AND MEG'S 'AUTHENTIC' OPRAH INTERVIEW BACK IN MARCH

In the new footage, the Duke touched on his and Meghan's "authentic" interview with Oprah in March.

Harry also said there is still an opening for healing with his family despite the bombshells.

He said: "I like to think that we were able to speak truth in the most compassionate way possible therefore leaving an opening for reconciliation and healing.

"The interview was about being real, being authentic, and hopefully sharing an experience that we know is relatable to people around the world, despite our unique privileged position."

HARRY 'BLINDED BY MEGHAN AND HOLLYWOOD'

Prince Harry has been "blinded by Meghan and Hollywood" – and his mum would "disapprove of him tearing down the royals", Diana's former butler has said.

Paul Burrell said he fears the Duke's desire to publicly air grievances with his family will only end up hurting him. And he told of his concerns the royal will be "left broken" unless Meghan steps in to stop him giving such personal interviews.

In an interview with Closer magazine, Mr Burell said: "There’s no doubt it’s a great idea for Harry to have help and therapy. But therapy is supposed to be confidential – it doesn’t work on the world stage. Doing what he’s doing is only going to cause him so much more pain.

"I don’t recognise him now – he’s almost become the centre of his own world. He’s hurting his family and saying things that I really think he’ll regret.

"Meghan has encouraged him to get therapy and change his way of thinking – but I think he’ll be left broken when this all stops and he realises what he’s done."

With his therapist Sanja Oakley, Prince Harry explained in the series: "EMDR is always something that I wanted to try and that was one of the varieties of different forms of healing or curing that I was willing to experiment with.

"I never would have been open to that had I not put in the work and the therapy that I’ve done over the years".

Speaking to Town and Country magazine, the director of the episode, said that the idea for the therapy section came from the Prince.

“He volunteered, he was game for trying something," Dawn Porter said.

“And we thought well, we have the opportunity to film this [therapy] and maybe this is something that will work for some people, maybe it won’t, but the idea is that you don’t tick a box and you’re done, mental wellness is an ongoing pursuit."

HARRY VOLUNTEERED TO FILM TRAUMA THERAPY FOR OPRAH INTERVIEW

Prince Harry volunteered to have a trauma therapy session filmed for the Oprah Winfrey docuseries after unleashing "truth bombs" about the Royal Family.

During an episode of The Me You Can't See, a five-part series about mental health, the Duke was shown undergoing EMDR.

Speaking on the Apple TV show Prince Harry told Oprah Winfrey that EMDR had always been something he had wanted to try.

He also told Oprah how his wife Meghan Markle had urged him to seek help four years ago following a huge row after he "acted like a 12-year-old".

EMDR is short for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing and is said to help people come to terms with traumatic experiences.

MEGHAN HAS BEAUTIFUL GIFT READY TO GIVE HER NEW BABY GIRL

Meghan Markle already has a gift planned for her baby daughter and the story behind it is so sweet.

Back in 2015, Meghan said she hopes to one day pass down her £4,800 Cartier watch to her daughter.

Meghan bought the pricey Cartier Tank Française after learning Suits – the television programme she starred in – had been commissioned for a third season.

The Duchess previously told Hello: "When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version [of the watch]."

She continued: "I had it engraved on the back, 'To M.M. From M.M.' And I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That's what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them."

WILLS "CAN'T COMPREHEND" HARRY'S FAMILY TAKEDOWN

Prince William "can't comprehend" Harry's public attacks on the royal family, according to a royal source.

"William feels that Harry should discuss his issues privately and can’t comprehend why he continues to shade his own flesh and blood on TV," an insider told Us Weekly.

"Of course, mental health is a serious issue, but William can’t get his head around why Harry keeps throwing his family under the bus."

OPRAH SAYS HARRY'S HONESTY MAY NOT HAVE HELPED HEAL ROYAL RIFT

Oprah Winfrey has said Prince Harry's honesty in his interviews may not have helped heal his rift with the royal family.

She was asked by close friend and fellow broadcaster Gayle King if she thought his truth-telling would "help him with the Royal Family" on CBS This Morning.

Oprah responded: "I don't know if it helps with the Royal Family.

"But this is what I do know, is that being able to express your own personal truth in a way that benefits you and also helps other people to see the truth in themselves, which is the reason why Harry agreed to have the sit-down and have the conversation – the first interview that went around the world.

"And in this series, you will see that we are in conversation."

QUEEN WON'T RUSH TO STRIP MEG AND HARRY'S TITLES TO AVOID LOOKING "VINDICTIVE OR PETTY", ROYAL EXPERT SAYS

The Queen won't rush to strip Meghan and Harry of their remaining titles as she knows they "love playing the victim", a royal expert has said.

Richard Eden told MailPlus' Palace Confidential show: "When Harry and Meghan were told they could no longer use their HRH titles, it was made clear to them privately that stripping them of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles was something that could be done in the future, depending on what they did.

"The Queen doesn’t want to look vindictive or petty, but also, there is an element that Harry and Meghan love being the victims," he continued.

"So if they were stripped of their titles, they would dine out on that for the rest of their lives. They would still have the titles of prince and princess. Meghan might actually prefer to be Princess Meghan.

"The Palace will want to tread very carefully. It's not something they would do in a hurry."
