Aperol giving away 100,000 free Aperol Spritz drinks when pubs re-open

Many people can't wait for pubs and restaurants to re-open on April 12.

Establishments will be able to serve customers outdoors from then and you won't even need to order a substantial meal with alcohol.

So what could make it better?

A free drink of course.

Alcohol brand Aperol has announced it's giving away 100,000 free Aperol Spritz drinks when pubs re-open.

Cocktail lovers should already know watch an Aperol Spritz is, but for those who don't, it's an Italian wine-based cocktail which consists of prosecco, Aperol and soda water.

To get the deal, you'll need to order two Aperol Spritz's at any bar, pub or restaurant in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, and one of the drinks will be on Aperol.

Those who want to get the money-saving deal with need to register here by May 17.

You will need to redeem the deal by following the link in the confirmation email, and then uploading a photo of the itemised receipt clearly showing two Aperol Spritz orders.

A refund of £8 will then be received.

Only one registration and redemption permitted per person is allowed.

Loris Contro, Aperol UK brand ambassador, said: "Life, like a Spritz, is best served shared.

"That’s why, after so long apart, we wanted to play our part in bringing people together again, as hospitality venues re-open across the country – with an Aperol Spritz on us.

"We don’t want people to visit bars before they’re comfortable doing so, which is why they can redeem their drink when they’re ready over the summer until 31 August.
