Asda has a massive sale on toys right now with up to 30% off

ASDA has launched a massive sale on toys and shoppers can save up to 30%.

The supermarket has slashed the price of over 70 toys and play sets from brands including Little Tikes, Lego and the Funkoverse.

The summer holidays are officially in full swing, so many parents will be looking for a way to keep the kids entertained until term restarts.

Asda's toy sale will be able to help you stock up the toy trunk even if you're on a budget as prices are slashed by almost a third.

You can shop the whole sale online and select items will be available in-store at your local Asda too.

If you're shopping the sale online though, you'll have to factor in the £2.95 it'll cost on top because of delivery fees.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that'll check prices for you – so don't be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Alternatively you can use the supermarket's free click and collect option – Asda's store locator tool will help you find your closest one when it comes topicking your order up.

It's worth shopping around too, as you might find the same items cheaper somewhere else.

You should also be aware that you won't really make a saving unless you were planning on making a purchase anyway, and you shouldn't buy just because the sale has started.

Here are the top picks from Asda's toy sale, but you'll want to be quick as stock will be subject to availability and the slashed prices may mean they'll sell out quickly.
