Mike and Zara Tindalls self-made fortune as they rake in £1million a year

ZaraandMike Tindallhave been the limelight for some years now, not least because of their link to the royal family, but also for their sporting antics.

However, it seems that they’re about to be thrust further into the public eye when Mike, 44, takes to the Australian jungle for this year’s series ofI'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The former England rugby player is thought to begetting paid £150,000 for his time on the show, as reported byMailOnline.

Add this to his and wife Zara’s net worth and the pair have a pretty hefty fortune, which according to MailOnline is more than £1million a year.

According toRuck, Mike Tindall is the fourth richest rugby player in the UK and has a net worth of £15.7million.

Mike has come from humble beginnings and worked in a chippy when he was a teenager where he was “paid according to how many fish” they sold.

The sportsman now earns a six-figure salary from his company, Kimble Trading, and through his work with Gloucester Rugby Club and celebrity endorsement deals.

Having played rugby for 17 years and competed in the 2003 World Cup, Mike is a speaker for fine dining events.

On the Gordon Poole Agency, his fees are listed as under £10,000, while he is also a brand ambassador for the online exchange broker UFXMarkets.

While Zara, 41, is, according toCelebrity Net Worth , worth a whopping £14.4 million thanks to many sponsorship deals and property investments.

She reportedly has endorsement deals with outdoor clothing company Musto worth an estimated £1.35 million and Howrse worth more than £90,000

The royal daughter of Princess Anne also has deals with luxury companies such as Rolex, Land Rover, and investment firm Artemis.

As a keen horse rider, she is also the director of Cheltenham Racecourse in England and works to promote the Equestrian Team.

As Mike landed in Australia, he spoke about his thoughts on the show: "It should be good fun, why not? It is always worth a go isn't it."

Told it was the first big reality series a Royal had done since It's A Knockout, he added: "No one said that when I did Bear Grylls and The Jump and I just do things I think will be fun."

Australia is a special place for Mike and Zara, who married in 2011, as it is where they met. The couple have three children Mia, eight, Lena, four, and one-year-old Lucas.

Mike said: "Australia is a special place, yeah, I met Zara in Sydney. There is no holiday planned at the moment afterwards. If there was I wouldn't tell you either!"
