His display in winning a hot contest at Kempton last time was impressive and that speed track is a stern test of fencing.
He should have no issue seeing out this trip and soft ground suits.
JERRYSBACK (2.25 Ascot, nb)
He returned from more than a year off to run a cracker in third here last time.
He wasn’t rushed by Richard Johnson before finishing off well up the home straight.
This step up in distance should help and the handicapper has left his mark alone.
NOTACHANCE (2.40 Haydock, treble)
He was impressive when battling home to win the Warwick Classic Chase last time.
He was in a ding-dong for a couple of furlongs but kept pulling out more.
He’s only seven and Alan King has high hopes for the Scottish National. He loves it testing and looks the one to beat.
