Amanda Holden giggles as BGT contestant Ben Nickless bravely mocks Piers Morgan

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden burst into laughter as impressionist Ben Nickless poked fun at her friend Piers Morgan.

Amanda was seen bursting into laughter when Ben took to the stage to perform his semi-final routine for the judges on Tuesday (May 31).

The comic was busy delivering a song packed full of witty lines matched to the celebrities he was imitating when he took on the persona of television presenter Piers.

Ben, 40, – who married his wife Zoe 11 years ago – was celebrating his birthday today as he made his bid to impress fans with the self-penned ditty.

As Piers' face appeared on the screen above him he adopted the outspoken host's voice and mannerisms as he made a joke about his Good Morning Britain departure to the tune of The Greatest Showman anthem This Is Me.

He sang: "When the sharpest words gonna cut me down, right, I'll give my honest opinion and then I'll just walk out, right."

Amanda couldn't hide her amusement at the hilarious performance as she burst out laughing at the lyrics.

Following his performance, the judges heaped praise on Ben as they gave him their support for obtaining a place in the final.

David Walliams said: "I feel we need the golden buzzer still to be here, because that's like a complete golden buzzer moment now. The Royal Variety performance is made for talent like yours.

"If there is any justice you will be there this year and if not this year then another year."

Amanda agreed with David's take as she also admitted believing Ben more than deserved a place in the final.

She said: "I think you're a genius. Like Simon,I was thinking about the mileage you've clocked up driving around the country trying to hone that act. If there is any justice you will be in that final."
