BGT viewers in meltdown as former act returns during 4MG’s performance

Britain’s Got Talent viewers were in meltdown over the surprise return of a former duo, who appeared on the show in 2009.

Father and son dancers Stavros Flatley made an epic comeback during a current semi-final act’s performance.

The pair didn’t just show up out of nowhere though, with their appearance cleverly planned by magician group 4MG.

Judges Amanda Holden, David Walliams , Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon jumped up and cheered to see the old favourites back where it all started.

The teen magicians welcomed Stavros Flatley to the stage, after asking the judges to complete a series of tasks.

David had to form a word made up of five letters, which was guessed correctly by one of the magicians.

Simon had to pick a numbered ball, while Amanda and Alesha had particular words in front of them.

The boys had repeated how big fans of the show they were particularly in the year 2009 – the year Stavros Flatley appeared.

Amazingly, Simon, Alesha and Amanda’s pickings all related to the former act, with the words, when put together, being an anagram of Stavros Flatley.

If that wasn’t amazing enough, the father and son then joined the magician’s on stage, dancing before chucking their wigs at the judges.

Fans took to Twitter over the moment, with one fan commenting: “Best bit of tonight's #bgt was seeing Stavros Flatley!”

Another said: “Is it too late to vote for Stavros Flatley to win?”

A third agreed: “Can we please vote for Stavros Flatley in this Semi?”

Britain’s Got Talent airs live all this week at 7:30pm on ITV.
