Inside EastEnders star Milly Zero’s life

EASTENDERS fans are used to seeing star Milly Zero in the role of the scheming Dotty Cotton.

The young actress’ life is a world away from life on Albert Square, with glam nights out and a famous rapper boyfriend – not to mention her lookalike mum.

Milly, 22, joined the cast as Dot Branning’s granddaughter in 2019, replacing Molly Conlin who had previously played the role as a child.

And it’s not the first time the Peckham-born star had been on TV either.

A former BRIT school student, Milly graduated in 2017 with trio of A-Levels in English Literature, Dance, Music and Theatre.

But the budding star actually made her television debut when she was 13 in CBBC’s All At Sea.

When her role on EastEnders was announced, Milly gushed: “I am honestly so excited to be playing Dotty Cotton and joining the E20 family, especially playing alongside June Brown, who I have been watching on my telly since I was a young girl.

“Her and Dotty have such an interesting relationship to explore with a complicated history, so I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. It all feels very surreal and I am buzzing already.”

    Deja who? (continued)

This year, hoping to save them from tears, they are hoping to do something special.

Sarah and Adam have decided that they will bring the conflicting families together with a huge Christmas dinner this year in hopes of making amends and achieving a Christmas miracle.

ITV has teased that it might not be the most wonderful time of year for the Barlow's and Platt's, after all.

Sitting down for turkey and all the trimmings with both families is only one of the hurdles the couple will face.

Sarah and Adam are wanting to start a family of their own, which should be the most exciting time of their lives but when Sarah’s new friend Lydia turns out to be someone from Adam’s past, things start to look far from perfect.

Sarah’s dreams of starting a family could be turned upside down and become her worst nightmare as we find out more about Lydia and her potential connection to Adam.

Viewers will have to wait and see how the festivities unfold.

    Deja who?

Christmas on the Coronation Street cobbles might not be as jolly as some of its residents would have hoped for.

Weatherfield Winter Wonderland holds a special place for Tina O'Brien's Sarah and Sam Robertson's Adam Barlow as that is where in 2019 Adam popped the big questions to Sarah.

That in itself was a traumatic event as Derek Milligan sought revenge on Gary Windass in an explosive episode with him firing off a gun in the fairground.

It was then when they were hiding for their lives, Adam realised he didn't want to wait a moment longer and proposed to Sarah.

The wedding between Sarah and Adam saw the blushing bride in a 1920's Great Gatsby style dress and although the families at that point seemed to get on, the drama came from Bethany Platt.

Bethany, played by Lucy Fallon decided to leave the street in early 2020 and took to Twitter to say so: "After the most incredible four years, I have made the extremely difficult decision to leave Coronation Street at the end of my contract in 2020."

    'Worst drunking acting ever'

Eastenders viewers weren't impressed after Walford's newest member Eve Unwin appeared to indulge in one too many drinks.

Joining Albert Square in October, Eve, played by Heather Peace is already making waves on the BBC One soap.

Joining the show as Stacy Slater's wife, she caused a scene in the cafe on Monday night's episode, having had clearly one too many drinks.

Stacy is played by actress Lacey Turner and their marriage is purely platonic to help Eve prove to probation officers that she had somewhere stable to live after leaving prison.

Having had far too much to drink, Eve is seen struggling to stand while verbally attacking Suki in the cafe, which left some viewers struggling to watch the performance.

One user wrote on Twitter: "This is the worst drunk acting I have ever seen. Sitting here cringing."

"Eve acting drunk verses Phil acting drunk. Phil will win every time. #Eastenders," another added.

    Damning reveal (continued)

She also revealed that co-star Richard Hawley was "thrilled to bits" with his exit.

However, when asked about how her character is coping in the lead-up to Johnny's funeral, she explained that she's "stressed" and "very up and down".

"She wants to find the perfect words for his eulogy, and she doesn't know whether she's got it right," Sally added.

"Jenny's beating herself over leaving the marriage, as she did love Johnny, so she doesn't want to let him down."

The soap star also went on to reveal her character is the sole beneficiary of Johnny's will, which causes quite a stir between her and Daisy.

      Damning reveal

CORONATION Street's Sally Matthews has revealed the incredibly surprising reaction to Johnny's tragic and brutal sewer death.

In an interview with Inside Soap that saw the star honour the life of her fictional soulmateSally spoke about his departure in detail to justify the decision.

When asked whether she was happy with the way Jenny and Johnny bid farewell – especially given the tragedy that accompanied it – Sally had no reservations, saying: "Oh god yes – it told their love story and brought it full circle.

"He gave her the opportunity to have a different life when she was just a cleaner in the factor, and he was her knight in shining armour 'till the very end.

"Often characters leave in the back of a taxi and that's a little – yet no one is going to float away down a storm pipe again in Corrie history."

      Seeing double

FANS of EastEnders were seeing double, or so they thought, as it appeared that Coronation Street's Sarah Platt has popped by.

If you are a regular EastEnders' viewer, you mahave been left scratching your head when a lookalike of Tina O'Brien seemed to be having a cuppa in Kathy's cafe.

It would be quite some commute from the fictional town of Weatherfield in Greater Manchester, where Coronation Street is set to the also fictional borough of Walford, which is home to EastEnders.

After a double-take and realising that Sarah Platt would never turn her back on Roy Cropper's fine dining, fans realised it was an extra just having a lovely time on set.

One fan on Twitter said: "Had to look twice to see if it was her haha."

      Poor bubba

Hollyoaks star Scarlett Bowman rushed her son Rafael to hospital after he crashed through a table in what she called a “very scary accident”.

The actress, 35, who played Maddie Morrison on the soap until 2012, said the two-year-old is going to be left with a scar.

Writing on Instagram she said: “We had a very scary accident on Friday night just before bath time.

“My poor bubba fell into our almost baby proofed glass coffee table and had to be rushed to hospital.

“No ambulance was available for up to an hour (could have been longer we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes and jumped in a cab).”

She went on: “He needed surgery to repair it but as he is recovering from a respiratory virus he was not able to have it (thank god).

“We are safe back home and resting but he will have one heck of a scar 😢 Any scar treatments pls let me know!”

Corrie star Gemma Oaten reveals ‘her darkest days in hospital’

Gemma Oaten has bravely spoken out about her darkest days in hospital when she was suffering from an eating disorder.

In an exclusive interview with the Sun, she described how staff used the ITV soap as a reward, only allowing her to watch it if she had made sufficient effort to eat.

She said: “I nearly didn’t make it because of the eating disorder. I almost died four times. I spent a lot of my life in hospitals, eating disorder units and psychiatric units. My favourite TV shows got me through.

“Some of these places were backwards in their approach. The psychiatric unit I was in when I was 11 was brutal.

Her eating disorder caused Gemma to suffer a heart attack when she was just 18 years old

“It was very much reward and punishment, so if I’d put on weight I’d be allowed to watch television. I’d watch Coronation Street and escape into it and have that little bit of fire inside me thinking, ‘I can beat this eating disorder — I can get better and go for my dreams’.

“Eating disorders make you lose sight of a lot of things, but I still dared to dream that I’d be on Corrie one day.”

EASTENDERS fans are horrified after Aaron Monroe was revealed to be a secret NAZI.

The city boy thug – who is played by actor Charlie Wernham in the BBC soap – was exposed as being involved in a brutal attack on a Muslim taxi driver tonight.

However the slimy racist managed to convince his dad that he was trying to stop the attack – and that he needed a false alibi.

Harvey shockingly lied to the police for his son, but said he felt sick doing it – and then laid into Aaron for involving himself with fascists again.

"You disgust me,” he said. "These people are not your friends Aaron – they're far right.  They're fascists – they're not patriots, they're Nazis. They're what your great granddad fought against.

“It's my job to protect you, to keep you away from trouble like that but that is it. That is the last time. You were with them scum. I mean it – one more foot out of line."
