This Morning host Holly Willoughby asked Phillip Schofield if he needed a "nurse" after he revealed his cut finger on the ITV show.

Phil, 59, gripped his finger as he told fans he'd pricked it, giggling as Holly, 40, pretended to be concerned about the miniature injury.

Dancing on Ice host Phil explained he'd pricked his finger and he could be seen squeezing it to try and force a tiny drop of blood out.

He laughed that's what people do as young kids to try and make little injuries seem worse than they are.

As the duo giggled, Holly asked her friend: "Shall we get a nurse?"

Phillip and Holly had been reading out viewer comments when he suddenly screamed: "Ouch!"

He began flapping his hand about after his accident, after he pricked his finger on some holly that was around the set to get viewers into the festive spirit.

Schofe said: "Bl**dy holly, every single time. Look, I'm now bleeding… I'm having to squeeze it so you can see the blood, obviously."

As he continued, he laughed: "I'm bleeding! I'm bleeding!"

Elsewhere in Tuesday's episode, Schofe poked fun at his former ITV colleague Piers Morgan when reading out Christmas jokes.

He laughed: "What's Piers Morgan's favourite Christmas song?"

And without missing a beat, he sang: "He's walking off on air," in the tune of the famous Snowman song.

Piers walked off GMB earlier this year after an argument with Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle.

They also spoke to Vanessa Feltz and Gyles Brandreth about some hot topics, including whether or not it was right that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren't returning to the UK for Christmas.Vanessa argued that they should be coming back to the country after the year Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth has had, as she lost her husband Prince Philip and had some illness of her own.
