Holly Willoughby says Phil Schofield ‘can’t be trusted’ after This Morning gaffe

Holly Willoughby joked that her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield "can't be trusted" and had "ruined Christmas" after he suffered a major fail.

The ITV favourites were tucking into a tin of Quality Street chocolates, however Holly, 39, couldn't help herself expose Phil, 58, for his blunder.

Footage was shown of him picking up the chocolates after he accidentally dropped the tin, spilling them all over the studio floor.

Luckily they were all still in their wrappers, so they could still enjoy the festive treat.

But as Phil picked up the chocolates, Holly could be heard saying: "You've ruined Christmas! You can't be trusted."

It didn't dampen her spirits though, as when the show's skin expert made an appearance, Holly quickly scoffed a chocolate to spite her.

Phillip fell about in fits of hysterics over the out-of-character moment, with Holly clearly enjoying the chocolate.

He joked to Holly: "That's the meanest thing you've ever done!"

And viewers at home found the whole thing hilarious too.

One wrote: "Holly reminding Schofe that he dropped the tin of chocolates on the floor [laughing emoji] Something I'm sometimes guilty of doing myself."

Another wrote a string of crying with laughter emojis, adding: "Holly!"

While a third laughed: "Holly is such a child."

Later on in the episode, the hosting duo spoke to a self-proclaimed pet psychic, and Holly and Phil couldn't believe what she was saying, with it being apparently accurate for listeners phoning in.

And viewers were divided over the segment, with some loving it and others finding it completely ridiculous.

One said: "I've had to turn off Holly and Phil because they're taking the subject of pet psychics so seriously. I screamed at the telly then realised my blood pressure was out of control so I've turned it off."

While another tweeted: "I didn't want to believe this pet psychic but this is actually weirdly believable. Am I just a sucker?"
