I’m A Celeb viewers fume at ‘advert overkill’ but praise new look Welsh castle

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were left frustrated during Sunday night's launch show due to the amount of adverts played during the hour and a half episode.

Despite viewers praising the revamped series at Gwrych castle in Wales, they flocked to social media to moan about the short segments in-between adverts.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Haha jokes on you viewers looking forward to 80% adverts 20% I’m a Celebrity footage #ImACeleb."

Another added: "ITV, too many adverts, Stop!! #ImACeleb."

A third continued: "Seen more f***ing adverts than anything else #ImACeleb."

"I'm A Celeb is ok but they are taking the p*** with so many adverts," a fourth moaned.

"Too many adverts. #ImACeleb," a fifth simply chimed in.

Clearly unimpressed, another hit out: "Feel like I’m watching more adverts than the actual programme #ImACeleb."

ITV bosses were forced to think outside the box for this year's series of I'm A Celeb after the ongoing pandemic made it all but impossible to jet out to the Australian jungle as usual.

On Sunday night 10 celebs entered the new camp after abseiling down a cliff face to win their rucksacks.

For the firs trail, the celebs were sent to the castle prison before having to pass stars from one cage to another while bugs and writers were dropped on them from above.

In total they managed to win seven stars for camp.
