Joan Collins sips champagne as she puts her fabulous Christmas tree up a month early

JOAN Collins toasted an early Christmas as she raised a glass to her dazzlingly elegant decorations.

The Dynasty actress, 87, enjoyed a tipple after she'd put in some festive graft adorning her tree with classic white fairy lights and a selection of baubles.

As well as red circles, she chose sparkling gold glitter balls, cute snowmen and golden angels.

She added a personal touch with baubles filled with photographs before silver snowflakes and pine cones completed the decorations.

Joan's fir tree takes pride of place in her front bay window, next to its elegant red patterned drapes.

Justifying the perhaps premature tree instalment, she wrote on her Instagram page: "So what else should one do during #lockdown in #november? #christmas #christmasdecor #christmastree #lockdown2"

The Golden Globe winner's followers were quick to give the thumbs up, with model Liz Hurley's son posting: "This makes me so so happy ♥️♥️♥️."

One fan then wrote: "That looks absolutely stunning!"

Another confessed: "You’ve spurred me on to get mine up earlier now!! And why not I say…Especially after the year we’ve had! 🎄🎁👌🌟❤️."

A follower then gushed: "Happy countdown to Christmas, Joan!" as one rounded off with the words: "That does lighten the mood, and something to look forward to❤️."

Joan is spending Christmas back on home turf after soaking up the sun with pal Piers Morgan in Saint Tropez this summer.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 55, was spotted dining with the Hollywood legend at the stunning Auberge de la Mole restaurant in the South of France.

The pair were also joined by Piers' wife Celia Walden, Joan's partner Percy Gibson, nutritionist Gabriela Peacock and her husband David.

The group appeared thrilled as they sat at the table, which was filled with wine glasses and plenty of nibbles.

Meanwhile, Piers looked positively glowing whilst next to Joan in a pale blue shirt.

Alongside the snap, he wrote: "At the court of Dame Joan."

Back in the UK winter, Joan is not the only famous face to kick start the Christmas vibes early.

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan have decked out their Essex mansion with huge festive toy soldiers, candy canes and a dazzling tree.

Close by, Mark's sister Jess Wright has also been sprucing up her winter wonderland home with fake snow.

Meanwhile Holly Willoughby, Peter Andre and Nicola Adams have been getting cosy modelling Christmas jumpers.

Kelly Brook also showcased an idyllic festive afternoon decorating her tree to Michael Buble tunes while enjoying a mince pie.
