Love Island fans were left stunned on Tuesday's episode after Hugo Hammond told AJ Bunker that they would be "better off as friends" and encouraged her to pursue a romance with Danny Bibby instead.
And after the candid chat, AJ, 28, wasted no time in telling Danny, 25, the news as they confirmed their blossoming romance with a passionate kiss.
Prior to the smooch, Hugo sat down AJ and said: "Well to be honest I’ve been wanting to talk to you anyway, so at the beginning there was something, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.
“I thought that the more we got to get to know each other, the more time we spend together I might be able to figure out what it was but at the minute I just see that you and I are probably better off as friends on that front.

"I genuinely think you and Danny could have something really great, I think you guys bounce off each other… it would be wrong of me to just kind of float through this, do you and I take it slow when I’m not 100% into it?"
After the chat, AJ then decided to speak to Danny where she recalled her conversation with Hugo and he said: "Me and you are the same in that we want to be like more touchy-feely, it’s good, it’s fun."
AJ agreed with Danny, saying that she is a "very affectionate person" and that it was "missing" with Hugo.
Danny then said: "With regards to me trying to pursue something with us two, is that something you’re interested in?"
As AJ agreed that she would enjoy the possibility of finding something with Danny, he popped one final cheeky question relating to a kiss they shared in a game on yesterday's challenge.
“So what did you think of the kiss?” he asked.
To which she responded: “It was alright, yeah” as Danny quickly queried: “You want to do it again?"
The pair ended up kissing, with AJ saying “you don’t mess around do you” once they had finished sharing their steamy smooch.
However, their fate on the Island remains uncertain as the episode ended with AJ, Danny, Lucinda Strafford, Chloe Burrows, Teddy Soares and Toby Aromolaran facing being dumped after they all received the lowest votes from the public.
While Love Island unveiled three new bombshells with Abigail Rawlings, Georgia Townend and Tyler Cruickshank set to enter the villa on Wednesday.
