Love Island viewers have been left stunned after dumped islander Mary Bedford revealed she has a secret connection to a chart-topping singer.
The star was speaking to her other half Aaron Simpson on Unseen Bits before they were dumped, when she confessed she had a link to Jane McDonald.
Aaron was asking Mary about where she was from, and she explained that she was from Wakefield.
He then quizzed her on any famous people who came from the same place, when Mary admitted that her dad used to go out with Jane, whose debut album hit the No1 spot in 1998.
Viewers at home were seriously impressed, but Aaron didn't seem to know who the Loose Women icon was.
One viewer wrote: "Somehow rocked by the news that Mary's dad used to go out with Jane McDonald, two people I objectively do not give a s*** about."
Another said: "Jane McDonald is Mary's ex step mum. No way!"
A third tweeted: "Love Jane McDonald. I'm a bit jealous of Mary now."
Someone else said: "Howling at Mary's shoutout to Jane McDonald."
A fifth wrote: "They waited until now to reveal that Jane McDonald went out with Mary's dad!?"
And another added: "Jane McDonald used to go out with Mary's dad? What?"
Mary and Aaron were dumped from the villa on Day 52, just days away from the grand finale – but they definitely weren't the most shocking exit of the week.
During Friday night's episode, Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole decided to end their relationship – and to walk away from the villa.
They said they wanted to let the other couples who were still going strong focus on their own romances, rather than worry about Jake or Lib.
The couple had been together since Day 1 and had even become boyfriend and girlfriend, exchanging the L-bomb too.
But it didn't end well as Liberty began to feel like Jake didn't actually like or love her as much as he claimed to.
This week, she ended up in tears on a number of occasions as he pointed out some of the little things he didn't like about her.
It was a huge change from earlier in the series when fans had been suggesting that they would be the winning couple.
