Lucinda Strafford and Danny Bibby decided to end their blossoming relationship on Monday's Love Island after realising they don't make each other happy.

And after "nipping things in the bud", Lucinda decided to pursue her romance with Aaron Francis with a steamy kiss after previously finding herself in a love triangle with him and Danny.

While Danny wasted no time in making a move on new bombshell Andrea-Jane Bunker, who has asked the Islanders to call her AJ, as he admitted he wants to get to know her despite the fact she is coupled up with Hugo Hammond.

Prior to this, Lucinda, who reportedly got back together with her footballer ex Aaron Connolly before the show, and Danny decided to have a chat about why he put a pie in her face during the Snog, Marry or Pie challenge earlier in the show, which he said was to see if she would be "p****d off".

After realising they didn't make each other happy, Danny said: "Maybe we just be mates then, I think that's for best, I don't want to be this serious guy in here and if that's what you make me feel like, I think maybe I need to nip it in the bud."

To which a shocked Lucinda replied with: "You need to nip it in the bud?"

Danny continued: "I don't think we're vibing off each other at all, you're like a Lamborghini I want to drive, I want to put key in, it doesn't work."

To which Lucinda started laughing, he added: "I try changing a couple of parts, not working, still in garage, been here five days, changing tyres, changing parts, still not starting. Just won't work!"

Lucinda replied: "Maybe buy a new car…" with Danny saying: "Red Ferrari, Lamborghini didn't work. That was my favourite car, you were my favourite girl, didn't work!"

Speaking in the Beach Hut after, Lucinda said: "100% I am so happy that the Danny situation is over and out, just want to put it to bed now. Aaron is the nicest person ever, I can't wait to get to know him more."

Danny then headed to AJ where he said: "I want to get to know you" and added in the Beach Hut: "AJ takes my breathe away."

While Lucinda told Aaron: "So I just ended things over there, I didn't actually think I had it in me, I don't think anyone did, but I did it. He sort of made out he was doing it as well. Not going to make a massive deal about it, but it definitely wasn't 50/50, I did it."
