Marvel’s 616 is an anthology of documentaries which will explore the various elements which made Marvel the comic giant it is today. The series will delve into everything from the loyal fan base and the iconic characters, to the creators’ themselves and their way of storytelling. The title of the Marvel’s new docuseries is a reference to Earth 616, the universe where the majority of the Marvel comics are set.
Within the series, each episode will feature various interviews including with Marvel’s writers, creators and of course, the comic book fans themselves.
Each of the episodes are dedicated to a superhero or a specific topic such as women in the industry, the toy market and forgotten heroes.
So there will be plenty to discuss in the upcoming series which has almost landed on Disney+.
How many episodes are in Marvel 616?
Marvel’s 616 will be dropped on Disney+ tomorrow, Friday, November 20.
The season is made up of eight episodes in total which will all be released in one go, so fans will be able to binge-watch the entirety of the series over the weekend.
What makes this new series even more exciting though is the fact each of the eight episodes are directed by a different director.
Mad Men’s Alison Brie, Veep’s Paul Scheer and Unsolved Mysteries’ Clay Jeter are just a few of the directors who have worked on Marvel’s 616.
Each of the filmmakers were put in charge of a specific episode and so every instalment is different in style and message.

Executive producer Sarah Amos spoke at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con about Marvel’s 616.
She said she wanted all of the directors to put their own spin on their particular episode.
Amos explained: “For some, it’s going to be laugh-out-loud funny throughout the whole thing, and for others, you’re going to be crying within minutes. Each one is its own journey.”
But to watch the new docu-series, you must be a Disney+ subscriber.
To get access to Disney+’s enormous library of content filled with memorable television and films, then you need to subscribe to the streaming service.
Disney+ will set you back £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year if you decide to pay the total 12-month fee upfront.
First-time subscribers are given a free seven-day trial but once this period is up, the payments will begin automatically.
Marvel’s 616 will be available to watch from tomorrow, Friday, November 20, on Disney+.
