Speaking following his exit from the ITV show, Christopher revealed that the team "work with" the celebs and take into account their preferred dance styles.
The professional ice skater went on: "That's why the routine on Thursday was Fly Me To The Moon, which Jayne [Torvill] and I had done on Dancing On Ice this last series, so that was part of the clue!"
He went on: "There's lots of covert clues that you sort of have to have your antennae out to realise – but if you know the answer, it's easy!"
Further discussing the clues, Christopher shared: "They were pretty hidden away I think, they would double take on all the clues – it could be one thing, or it could be another.
"Once you know who it is, you go: 'Oh, of course!' When they talk about 'bobby', it could relate to Bobby Robson, football, boots – take you in that direction, but equally it applies to what I do as well!"
For this reason, Jamie Redknapp was one of the names thrown into the mix as fans theorised who Beagle could be.
Other clues from the show included hints that Beagle was "someone who loves a competition", with other references to "first pair of boots", and "book of trees".
There was also a reference to the "nippy" conditions that Christopher usually works in.
Fans were stunned to learn that he was the one underneath the mask yesterday, with Zoe Ball also being revealed as Llama at the same time.
The Masked Dancer continues tonight, where two more stars will be eliminated ahead of tomorrow's grand final.
