When will Peaky Blinders season 6 start?
Season six of Peaky Blinders was expected to air towards the end of 2020 or early 2021 at best.
However, due to the current coronavirus outbreak, filming of the new series was postponed back in March.
However, director Anthony Byrne has expressed his hopes to return to filming as soon as possible.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Byrne said: “In an ideal world it would be great to be prepping again towards the end of the year with a view to start shooting early next year.”
If filming does resume early next year, as per tradition, Peaky Blinders season six could potentially air in Autumn 2021.
Unfortunately, fans could be waiting up to two years for the Birmingham -based crime drama to return.

What will happen in Peaky Blinders season 6?
At the end of Peaky Blinders season five, Tommy Shelby’s (played by Cillian Murphy) plans to assassinate Oswald Mosley were sabotaged.
Throughout the series, Tommy had become increasingly paranoid and had suspected a ‘black cat’ within the ranks of Shelby Limited but could not put his finger on who.
At the moment, all fingers are pointing towards Michael Gray (Finn Cole) and his wife Gina (Anya-Taylor Joy) who had revealed their plans to take over the company and base it in America.
After Tommy rejected their business plans, Gina told her husband they would have to” find another way” to get what they wanted.

There is also the risk Finn Shelby (Harry Kirton) may have unintentionally sabotaged Tommy’s plans, by revealing small details to Billy Grade (Emmet J. Scanlan).
The last time viewers seen Tommy, he was in a desperate state.
Hallucinating that he could see his deceased wife, Grace (Annabelle Wallis), Tommy ran towards her screaming with a gun pointed at his head.
Byrne revealed to Digital Spy that the sixth series will pick up immediately from where season five left off.
He said: “Yeah, it picks up directly [from season five], the very first image you will see will be back in that field, with a gun to his [Tommy’s] head.”
Byrne added: “I promise it will be worth the wait. It’s given us a chance to go back through the scripts again and really kind of nail it, in a way that.
“I mean these scripts were so, so good, and now having more time you go ‘what about this or what about that’. And you go ‘s**t, that’s a good idea.’”
Season six will most likely see Tommy and Oswald go to war, whilst also tracking the rise of the fascism in Europe alongside the creation of Oswalds British Union of Fascists.
There has been a lot of speculation that Hitler will appear in the sixth series, considering he and Mosley were friends in real life.
Mosely married his second wife Diana Mitford in 1936 with the nuptials taking place at the home of Third Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels.
Hitler was a guest of honour at the wedding ceremony.
Mosley also met in person with both Hitler and Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini which helped to foster his own racist ideas and inspired him to form the British Union of Fascists.
There will also be some new characters in the show for the Shelby’s to face.
Arthur Shelby start Paul Anderson sent fans into meltdown after he posted a picture on Instagram, teasing David Beckham, Guy Ritchie and Bella Thorne would appear in season six.
He captioned the series of photos: “Ciao Bella, looks like he is somewhere in Small Heath getting ready for S6 @peakyblindersofficial @bellathorne @guyritchie @davidbeckham @peakyblindersofficial @lukashaas.”
Byrne also revealed to Digital Spy that there would be a new female foe in Tommy’s life.
He said: “There’s a great female character who is new, who is pretty dark. I haven’t seen a character like her in Peaky before.
“I won’t say who she is, but she certainly gives Tommy a run for his money. She challenges him in a different way basically.
“She’s certainly not a protagonist and I don’t know if she’s an antagonist. It’s similar to Mosley…she has a similar ideology, and that’s challenging for any character like I’ve said before…he or she, they don’t have guns or a gang, but they have an ideology that’s like a virus and it’s more dangerous than anything.”
Fans will have to wait until 2021 to find out what will happen in Peaky Blinders season six.
