Lorraine Kelly was joined by royal expert Russell Myers on the morning magazine show to chat about the latest developments in the Royal Family. In recent days, both Prince William and Prince Harry have been busy with the former carrying out a TED Talk days after his documentary surrounding the issues of climate change aired on ITV. But now, with it increasingly uncertain what Harry’s next move will be, Russell has hinted Duke of Sussex will be back “alone” this Christmas, without his wife and looks to be in “hot water” with the Queen.
On today’s instalment of Lorraine, Russell was on the show to update viewers on the latest goings-on with the Royal Family.
Yesterday saw Prince Harry and Meghan Markle take part in an interview with Malala Yousafzai to celebrate International Day of the Girl.
Commenting on the move, Russell noted: “That’s the sort of platform she talks about, girls education, she’s very passionate about that.”
However, the interview still garnered “controversy” with the royal expert explaining how Meghan had been accused of “making it about herself.”
The guest detailed how Meghan told those watching she understood what “people are going through” before reminding viewers the pair are living in an 11 million dollar house in Montecito, California.
And the commentator touched on Harry’s own potential issues upon a return to the UK after Lorraine had asked if he would be back to “face the music” from his grandmother.
Russell noted how Harry had “waded into Donald Trump” adding: “Maybe he’s in a little bit of hot water?”
He soon explained how the staff at Frogmore Cottage – Harry and Meghan’s UK residence – have reportedly been told to prepare the house only for the former.
