RHONJ: What Dolores Catania Really Does For A Living

New Jersey native Dolores Catania first burst on the scene when she was ushered into the cast of Real Housewives of New Jersey as veteran cast member Teresa Giudice’s long-time gal pal. But since then, she’s definitely made a name for herself in the Bravosphere.

Fans quickly fell in love with the no-nonsense mother who had a knack for telling it like it is, hence her Season 9 tagline: “I may put up a tough front, but I’ll never leave you behind” (via Bravo’s The Daily Dish). There’s also the very interesting friendship she shares with her former husband and the father to her two grown children, Frank Catania, that somehow makes her even more relatable.

But besides being a mother, a friend, a co-parent, and a Real Housewife, Dolores also has a lengthy résumé complete with various titles. Some might even consider her to be a jack of all trades! So how does Dolores currently bring home the bacon? Keep reading after the jump to find out.

Dolores Catania is an entrepreneur and philanthropist

Before joining Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey, Dolores Catania had grown accustomed to wearing many different hats. As reported by Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Dolores held various positions including that of a corrections officer and a surgical assistant. Wow! Talk about being versatile. Dolores’ bio for Bravo’s website also describes her as a philanthropist. According to the site, now that her children are grown, she focuses on her rescue pets and helping out in her community.

But make no mistake — she’s still bringing home the bacon, too! Currently Dolores owns a local gym in New Jersey. But she doesn’t exactly see herself as an entrepreneur. During an interview on the The Daily Dish podcast, she downplayed her role as a business owner. “Well, [I’m also a] business owner. See, I never think of myself [as a business owner]. I don’t think about things. I just do them. Entrepreneur, philanthropist,” she said. “I do whatever I have to do.” Sounds like a go-getter to us. Props to Dolores on getting things done!
