The new science fiction thriller continues each week on TNT and Netflix. Although the series established a frozen world populated by the passengers of a single train, some Snowpiercer fans have suggested the series could end with an explosive collision.
During the first season, the Snowpiercer train’s 1,001 carriages carries its human cargo around the circumference of a frozen Earth.
Based on Bong Joon-ho’s original film, the new series quickly descends into brutal class warfare when former detective and Third Class passenger Andre Layton (played by Daveed Diggs) is co-erced into solving a murder case.
After a catastrophic climate emergency, the world is frozen over by a botched attempt to solve global warming.
The remaining population is crammed onto the Snowpiercer, a vast train that circles the wasteland ostensibly carrying the last remnants of the human race.

However, a recent theory has proposed humanity’s hope isn’t quite so lost as some fans have proposed a second train could eventually join the Snowpiercer.
Unfortunately, the revelation could spell disaster for the trains’ passengers of upper-class elites and impoverished stowaways.
One fan took to Reddit after noticing a revealing clue in the season finale’s intriguing episode title, 994 Cars Long, which hints at an impending collision event.
Redditor NepsterCZ posted: “We know that the last episode is titled “994 Cars Long”. Which is 7 less than now.”
Potential spoilers ahead – this theory also stems from the original series of graphic novels, Le Transperceneige, which eventually reveals there are actually ten trains navigating the globe.
Among them is the Icebreaker, said to be roughly ten times the size of the Snowpiercer and is an empty train used to clear pathways for the other trains.
The fan then took a look at promotional material for the series, and spotted a major clue that the season finale could introduce the Icebreaker in a shocking cliffhanger setting up season two.
They continued: “In one of the trailers we see this image from the cockpit of the Snowpiercer.”

“It clearly shows Bennet Knox looking at the satellite view of the Snowpiercers course, we can also see another siding with the red blinking dot.
“As the scene progresses Snowpiercer (yellow) and the red dot moving on a collision course at the railroad switch that connects both tracks.”
This sequence has yet to be seen in the first season of Snowpiercer and, with just three episodes left, it could be assumed the trailer is hinting at a destructive crash in the season finale.
The introduction of the Icebreaker would set the stage for the world of Snowpiercer to expand in the renewed second season, which is confirmed to introduce Sean Bean to the main cast.

Finally, the post sealed how all the clues are adding up to the Snowpiercer running aground after a nasty confrontation with the more powerful Icebreaker.
They explained: “My theory is that the ‘red dot’ is actually another train, the Icebreaker, that circles on slightly different tracks around the Earth and only shares some parts with the Snowpiercer.
“We know the Snowpiercer is running late by at least a day (by episode four), so who knows how many days Snowpiercer is now late, with the latest damage in episode six.”
Snowpiercer continues Sundays on TNTs and is available to stream the following Monday on Netflix.
