Spoilers: Is Jean a killer after causing deadly EastEnders fire?

Poor Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) will find herself in a terrifying ordeal when she starts to worry she may have been responsible for the fire at Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) house in EastEnders.

Over at Phil’s, Janine (Charlie Brooks) finds Scarlett and Tommy.

Encouraging them to both leave, Janine is left stunned when Tommy locks himself, Janine and Scarlett in the bedroom.

Meanwhile, downstairs, a fire starts in the kitchen and as Janine realises there’s a fire, she joins Tommy and Scarlett as they scramble to reach the key that Tommy threw down a crack in the floorboards.

As they attempt to escape, an explosion goes off, and it remains to be seen as to who makes it out alive.

Later, as the aftermath begins, Jean bumps into Shirley (Linda Henry), who reveals she thinks she’s responsible for the fire.

But why?

We know Jean is facing trouble of her own following the discover the drugs in her garage have continued growing, but why does she think she’s responsible for the fire at Phil’s house?
