Super Vet Noel Fitzpatrick shares hopeful update on dog Keira after accident

Super Vet Noel Fitzpatrick has shared very welcome update on his dog Keira’s condition after she was hit by a van.

The star shared a sweet snap of the pup, thanking fans for their support and revealing she’s no longer relying on tubes after she was previously left in a critical condition.

Noel wrote on Twitter alongside the photo: ‘Good Mornin everyone.

‘Thank you so much for all of your thoughts, prayers and kindness. I finally have all my tubes out and I’m getting a little stronger each day.

‘”Onwards and upwards and let’s find the joy in the day” as daddy would say. Love you. Thank you again. Keira x’.

Fans are relieved for the pair of them, with perfumer Jo Malone sharing a photo of her dog Teri, and writing: ‘Best news in the world , love Teri’.

Another follower wrote: ‘I’m so glad she’s getting better day by day,’ while one more added: ‘This has just brighten my day, what wonderful news, its amazing what medicine can do [sic].’

Noel, 52, was left devastated after Keira’s accident, sharing the heartbreaking news to Twitter in October.

‘3 weeks ago my little girl, Keira, was hit by a van,’ the vet wrote. ‘She has been in a critical state and the fear of losing her has been overwhelming.

‘Her outlook remains unknown. We hope & keep the faith that she will be OK. I’ll bring an update when the time is right. Thank you for caring x’.

He later shared an update, revealing: ‘She is not out of the woods yet, but she is fighting on and keeping the faith, as am I.’

Noel is best known for his Channel 4 series The Supervet: Noel Fitzpatrick, and has previously helped out celebrity pals with their poorly pets.

Earlier this year, Dec Donnelly had high praise for him, after he saved his daschund Rocky’s life following a fox attack.

The 44-year-old wrote on Instagram: ‘Another thank you to this guy @profnoelfitzpatrick and his amazing staff for looking after Rocky and getting him back on his feet after a run-in with a grumpy fox in our garden last Sunday. Cheeky bugger!

‘The care and attention from the guys at @fitzpatrick_referrals is so reassuring and comforting. Thanks again everyone. D x’.
