Netflix launched a myriad of dating shows in 2020 to rival the likes of Love Island including Love Is Blind and Too Hot To Handle – the latter of which put a huge spin on the TV format. The series proved to be popular among audiences around the world and has now been given the greenlight for another series. Express.co.uk has the lowdown on the forthcoming series and when it will air.

When will Too Hot To Handle season 2 be released?

Netflix confirmed Too Hot To Handle would be back for not one season but two more in a double renewal.

Fans have been waiting on the news for some time after the coronavirus pandemic hit as the show arrived during lockdown in early 2020.

Netflix’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos described the series as the streaming platform’s “biggest competition show ever”.

Thankfully, Too Hot To Handle will be returning sooner than fans originally thought.

According to Deadline, work on the show has been underway for months now in the hopes of bringing the new series to fan sooner rather than later.

The rate of the coronavirus pandemic also had an impact on filming and when the show could be released.

Netflix has just revealed season two will be released in two halves – on June 23 and June 30.

Season two will be made up of 10 episodes, with instalments one to four airing on June 23.

Episodes five to 10 will then be released on June 30.

Who will be in the cast of Too Hot To Handle season 2?

The cast for season two is likely to be announced when the series is about to drop but fans will see another group of bed-hopping singletons appearing on the show.

Much like season one, the show is an international one with contestants from all around the world taking part.

Season one saw Harry Jowsey and Francesca Farago crowned the winners it appeared they broke the most rules during their stint on the series.

Viewers will have to stay tuned but there will be a bevy of romantic hopefuls who will be put to the test.

What will happen in Too Hot To Handle season 2?

The format will remain the same with the contestants competing to form meaningful emotional connections in the hopes of winning a big cash prize.

If the singletons can resist each other for a month – without kissing, canoodling and pleasuring themselves, they could win a whopping £79,000 ($100,000).

But each dalliance and breaking of the rules will see their cash pot go down with the contestants potentially losing it all if they fail to comply.

Seasons two and three are going to be filmed in the Turks and Caicos Islands, a move from Mexico for the first run.

The contestants receive instructions from an Alexa-type device called Lana, which will also be monitoring the contestants for any sexual shenanigans.

Along with sunning themselves in an exotic location, the contestants will have to undertake a series of tasks to get to know each other better.

There will be relationship workshops during which they will go on a journey of self-discovery and find out what they’re really looking for when it comes to love and romance.

Although money is deducted for any misdemeanours, there is also a chance to win back money is the cast play their cards right.
