Towie's Harry Lee fights back tears after split from Frankie Sims saying 'it feels like she's died'

THE Only Way Is Essex's Harry Lee fought back tears after his split with Frankie Sims, saying that it felt as though she'd "died".

Last month, The Sun Online revealed that the stars, both 25, had gone their separate ways – and the heartbreaking scenes played out in last night's episode of the ITVBe reality show.

The split was mostly fuelled by Harry's jealousy and insecurity within the relationship, and Harry told his pal Tom McDonnell that it'd be easier to deal with if she'd cheated.

Visibly emotional, he said: "We weren't in the right head space, just thought it would be better if we called it a day.

"Sometimes she would lie a little bit and downplay things. That feeds my insecurities and sometimes, you know, I end up losing my head.

"I feel proper broken at the minute, it would have been easier if she cheated."

Harry poignantly added: "I thought I would be that fella to show her that not all fellas are the same, now she's gone and it feels like she died. She's the nicest girl I've ever met."

The star then admitted that he believed Frankie was "the one", and whoever she dated next would be "lucky".

The split hasn't been easy for Frankie either, who confessed that she'd "cried all night" in dramatic scenes of her own.

Speaking to her sisters Chloe and Demi, she said: "With this whole Harry thing and the breakup, I just feel like all my emotions have been bottling up.

"They've just all come out at once."

She went on: "Like last night, I felt like the worst company ever. You know when you're speaking and you can't get a word out because you're so heartbroken?

"I got home and literally cried all night. I've not stopped crying. I feel empty, that's how I feel at the minute."

Later in the show, Harry ran into Demi and told her that breaking up with her sister had been the "hardest week of his life".

He explained: "It's not been the best time. The hardest week of my life, I've been struggling. I love her so much still, things weren't working.

"I'd never say a bad word about her, I love Frankie and being a part of your family. It's just sad it's not there anymore – I want her to know I'll always be there for her."

Sunday night's episode of Towie saw Harry and Frankie promise to give their relationship another shot, but fans were left worried by his "controlling behaviour".

Viewers claimed that the star was showing "red flags" as he admitted to starting fights to get Frankie's "attention".

He also accused his girlfriend of not making him "feel special" enough after lockdown restrictions eased.

The Sun revealed last month that the pair had split after a year-long romance.
