When will Chicago Fire air in July? Episode schedule explained
Chicago Fire is an internationally popular action drama on NBC and Sky Witness in the UK. Series nine finished in May 2021 and has been given the green light for a 10th season, marking a decade of Lieutenant Matthew Casey (played by Jesse Spencer) and the rest of the team. So when will Chicago Fire return in July 2021 and are there going to be any new episodes airing?
When will Chicago Fire air in July?
When a new series of Chicago Fire starts up, it airs every Wednesday on NBC.
But even when a season hasn’t just started, there are usually reruns of the firefighter-central drama.
Sadly, because it is sporting season, many shows such as Chicago Fire, will have to take a backseat over the next few weeks.
Next week will be the start of fans seeing a little bit less of the show on Wednesday nights.

Chicago Fire is not going to be on Wednesday, July 7, in its usual time slot on NBC.
In its place, the network will be airing coverage of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals Game 5.
The match will be between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning.
This will not be the first time either in the coming weeks where sports takes over.
The following week though, on Wednesday, July 14, there will be a rerun of Chicago Fire.
Season nine, episode 10, One Crazy Shift, is going to be shown that evening.
The official synopsis reads: “A series of suspicious fires sends 51 on a search for the cause.
“Casey continues down a troubling path. Mouch is looking to make his long-awaited dream come true.”

On Wednesday, July 21, there has been no news as to what will be shown in the primetime spot on NBC.
The network hasn’t revealed if it is going to be more sports coverage or an episode of Chicago Fire as of yet.
July however will end with the drama once again being scrapped from NBC’s schedule.
This time, on Wednesday, July 28, it will be to make room for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
NBC has already renewed Chicago Fire for a 10th season, much to the delight of its fanbase.
Like many series though, filming has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
So it is unclear when series 10 will start but it is expected sometime in the autumn of 2021.
Chicago Fire is available to watch on NBC.
