Strictly Come Dancing’s Sunday night results show got off to a bad start when fans complained about the opening dance routine. The BBC show began with the Strictly professional dancers performing to Chaka Khan’s hit track ‘Like Sugar’. However, viewers were quick to complain about the dance with many suggesting there should have been a warning about the “annoying” flashing lights.

The Strictly professionals took to the iconic dance floor on Sunday night, dressed up in matching black suits.

The routine also featured bright flashing lights, but this was what caused many viewers to complain.

@banoffeecupcake wrote: “Sorry, but this seriously needed an epilepsy/flashing light warning.”

“Why no warning about flashing lights,” @sue_lat questioned.

“Changed channels for a few mins. The flashing lights on strictly are too annoying. #Strictly,” @suzyturquoise commented.

@Libraryperson6 added: “A warning for flashing lights might have helped, they’re very bright and distracting #Strictly.”

Meanwhile, other viewers claimed they didn’t like the dance or song choice for the performance.

“I don’t rate this song or dance presentation #Strictly,” @by_theSeaShore said.
