BBC Weather forecaster Chris Fawkes warned of heavy rain and thunderstorms in central Europe. He added that these thunderstorms could also bring hailstorms as well. Some parts of Europe will remain dry with hot temperatures, like southeast Europe.
However, for large swathes of central Europe it will prove to be a wet weekend.
Mr Fawkes said: “Over the last 24 hours we have seen some pretty active thunderstorms affecting France.
“They are pushing eastwards, so those storms working into eastern France through Friday.
“Friday night into Saturday we will continue to see them work their way eastwards into Belgium, Netherlands and Germany as well.

“There is a risk of hailstorms mixed in with some of these downpours as we go through Saturday afternoon.”
The BBC Weather forecaster noted that southeastern Europe will remain hot for most of the weekend.
Turkey will see some of the hottest temperatures with Antalya reaching as high as 31C.
Mr Fawkes continued: “Meanwhile in the south-east of Europe there will be a lot of dry, hot and sunny weather.

“Temperatures pushing well into the 30s in Turkey, Greece Athens will see 28C.
“There will be thundery downpours pretty widespread in Germany however and Austria into areas of Switzerland.
“As I say there will be some hailstorms mixed in with these downpours here.
“We are also going to see an area of storms affecting central and eastern areas of Spain.

“Those storms will push eastwards as we go through Sunday.
“There will be a greater risk of seeing downpours pushing into areas of Italy through the course of Sunday.
“There will be drier weather for a time in Poland over the weekend and in the sunshine, in Warsaw, it will be 24C.”
