Biden blasted as 'weak' over Israel conflict and 'may as well have his name on Hamas ROCKETS,' Ted Cruz says

TED Cruz blasted Joe Biden on Wednesday as "weak" for his handling of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict as violence escalates on the Gaza Strip.

The Texas Republican noted that Hamas – a Palestinian Sunni-Islamic fundamentalist group – reportedly fired 4,000 rockets in Israel despite indicating that a ceasefire may be on the horizon.

During an appearance on Fox News's Hannity show last night, Cruz said: "And every one of those rockets might as well have Joe Biden’s name written on the side of it.

“Because it is his weakness, his appeasement, his moral relativism and ambiguity, his lack of backbone to stand up and stand with Israel that is causing this war in the Middle East.

“Rather than lecturing [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, rather than being arrogant and attacking our friends, he ought to say America stands unequivocally with Israel,” Cruz told Sean Hannity. “Period. The end.

“The Hamas terrorists need to stop right now. Israel has an absolute right to defend itself.

“If Hamas terrorists attack Israel they will be dealt with and they will be killed and he needs to right now replenish Israel's Iron Dome missiles."

Cruz criticized Biden for being too friendly to more hostile countries like China, Russia, and Iran.

“Our friends and allies, the people we should be standing alongside and he’s alienating, undermining, insulting, lecturing, and attacking,” Cruz continued.

“Our enemies, the people who want to kill us, he’s sending money to, supporting, praising, and kissing their rear ends.”

“Basically what Joe Biden has decided is pipelines in America: bad, jobs in America: bad, pipelines in Russia: good, jobs in Russia: good."

The White House confirmed that the president spoke with Netanyahu on Wednesday morning.

"The two leaders had a detailed discussion on the state of events in Gaza, Israel's progress in degrading the capabilities of Hamas and other terrorist elements, and ongoing diplomatic efforts by regional governments and the United States," the statement said.

"The President conveyed to the Prime Minister that he expected a significant de-escalation today on the path to a ceasefire."

The president is under mounting pressure from more liberal Democrats to take a hard line against Israel as more civilians die in the chaos.

Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other progressive Democrats are now trying to block the Biden administration from selling $732million in arms to Israel.

Fellow "squad" member Rashida Tlaib confronted Biden at a Detroit airport and is demanding that the Biden administration do more to protect civilians.

An aide told NPR: “Palestinian human rights are not a bargaining chip and must be protected, not negotiated."

“The US cannot continue to give the right-wing Netanyahu government billions each year to commit crimes against Palestinians.

Atrocities like bombing schools cannot be tolerated, much less conducted with US-supplied weapons."

The news comes after Commander of Hamas's Qassam Brigades, Mohammed Deif, 55, lost both legs, an arm, and an eye after six Israeli airstrikes failed to kill him.
