‘Big Bang Theory’ star Mayim Bialik signs deal with Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. TV is keeping another “Big Bang Theory” star in the fold, signing an exclusive two-year production overall deal with Mayim Bialik, that includes a talent holding provision.

The overall deal is with Bialik’s newly-launched production company, Sad Clown Productions, which is bringing over Mackenzie Gabriel-Vaught from Chuck Lorre Productions to serve as head of development. Lorre is co-creator of “Big Bang Theory,” which Vaught oversaw during her decade tenure with the company.

“WB has been my creative home for over a decade and I’m thrilled to be continuing my relationship with them as I develop projects as an actor and a producer,” Bialik said. “After working with Mackenzie during my entire time at ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ I have grown to respect and value her humor, candor, intelligence, and professionalism. There’s no one else I would rather start this new phase of my career with than Mackenzie and I can’t wait to start showing what we can do together!”

Bialik’s deal with Warner Bros. follows a similar deal the studio signed with her “Big Bang Theory” co-star Kaley Cuoco. That was a multi-year overall deal that included a talent holding agreement. First under the deal will be the hour-long drama “The Flight Attendant,” which Cuoco will star in and produce for WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service.

Deadline first reported on Bialik’s deal.
