Body is found by police in search for missing woman, 33, who vanished in Leeds 24 hours ago

  • Formal identification is to be completed, but the body is believed to be Chloe 
  • It was found near Tower Lane, in Armley, Leeds, and family have been informed
  • There are no suspicious circumstances and Coroner’s Office has been notified 

Yorkshire police have found a body while searching for Chloe Messenger, who was reported missing last night.

Although formal identification is to be completed, the body is believed to be Chloe.

The body was found near Tower Lane, in Armley, Leeds, this morning and her family have been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances and the Coroner’s Office has been notified, West Yorkshire Police said.

West Yorkshire Police had previously put out an urgent appeal to locate Ms Messenger from Armley. 

She was reported missing on September 12 after last being seen when she left her home at about 5.30pm.

Detective Inspector James Entwistle, of Leeds District CID, previously said: ‘It is out of character for Chloe to go missing like this and we are concerned for her welfare.

‘We would like to hear urgently from anyone who has seen her or who has any information that could assist in tracing her.’
