Family killer Chris Watts ‘secretly back in touch with lover he murdered his wife and two kids for’
TWISTED Chris Watts is secretly back in contact with the woman he murdered his young family to be with, say reports.
The killer apparently told a cell mate that Nichol Kessinger had written to him at the Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin.
The 35 year old is serving five life sentences without the possibility of parole over the horror deaths of his pregnant wife and two kids in 2018.
He ruthlessly committed the crimes after hooking up with Kessinger, 32, with whom he planned a new life with.
Now one of Watts's fellow inmates has claimed she is back in touch with the brute three years after changing her identity and disappearing.
"He told me she said that she needed to speak to him to clear some things up," David Carter told DailyMail.com.
"He wouldn't tell me exactly what she had said."
Kessinger changed her name after Watts was arrested for killing his wife Shanann and their two daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3.
Carter claimed Watts told him his former mistress was writing to him in September last year.
"He wasn't supposed to have any contact with her, but she initiated it by writing to him," he said.
Carter – released from prison in February -also claimed Watts keeps pictures of the children on the wall of his cell.
"But there are no pictures of Shanann," he then added.
"He told me he has nightmares every night, always the same, of his two girls standing in his cell playing catch."
Carter also claimed Wattstold him that he killed his wife because he didn't want to pay child support.
And he said his ex ell mate feared his wife would end up with their house in Frederick, Colorado, in a divorce.
"I don't buy any of that though," said Carter, who was jailed for meth possession and theft.
We previously told how Watts sent a chilling text message to his mistress soon after he slaughtered his family.
Ms Kessinger had starting dating Watts in early July, believing he was separated and at the end of divorce proceedings.
She previously told Denver Post: "He’s a liar. He lied about everything.”
In October we told how Watts hid nude selfies and explicit videos of his mistress in a calculator app on his phone.
He had downloaded what appeared to be a calculator to his mobile – but it was actually a front for a storage device.
Watts murdered his wife first before bundling her body into a car along with his children, who were still alive.
Watts then drove to an oil site where he buried his partner in a shallow grave and killed the girls – hiding their bodies in containers.
He reported his family as missing from their home shortly after and feigned concern.
The horrific murders are the subject of the Netflix documentary American Murder: The Family Next Door, shocking viewers.
The wife killer reportedly detailed the gruesome slaying of his wife in one of his prison letters – and he also revealed that he'd been thinking about killing her for "weeks."
"Her eyes filled with blood; as she looked at me and she died. I knew she was gone when she relieved herself," Watts recalled in a bombshell letter obtained by the Daily Mail.
