Foster son finds splinters in mouth years after mum forced sticks down throat

An fostered child has shared the horrific extent of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his evil Jehovah’s Witness foster mother.

Eunice Spry was convicted of 26 charges of child abuse against three children in her care in 2007, and was initially sentenced to 14 years in prison. She was eventually released in 2014.

Her fostered children were routinely beat, abused and starved over a 19-year-period – even being forced to eat their own vomit.

Christoper Spry was one of the victims and has gone on to write a book, ‘Child C: Surviving a Foster Mother’s Reign of Terror’, which details his horrific early experiences.

Now, speaking to Shaun Attwood on his ‘True Crime Podcast’, Chris has described some of the incidents in detail.

The survivor explained how Eunice had hidden behind the guise of her Jehovah’s Witness religious beliefs to justify the harm she caused.

He claimed she told them they had the "devil in us" and the abuse was so severe that, even recently, doctors have been dealing with the fall-out.

“I went to have X-Rays on wisdom teeth – most of my teeth are messed up – they took an X-Ray and they were like, ‘there’s a dark object in your jaw’,” Chris said.

Assuming it might be a form of throat cancer, her remembered being shocked by what he discovered – bits of bamboo stick that had splintered off from where Spry had been "ramming" it down their throats.

“And they found a tiny little triangle of metal in my jawbone… and that turned out to be the tip of a knife,” he added.

“I still think, ‘how? How did we survive that?’”

When they were just seven years old, Chris claimed his foster mother would force the children under her care to drink dangerous liquids when they were just seven years old.

He said they would be made to gargle liquids like bleach if they were caught lying.

“I still can’t have washing up liquid in the house, Lidl very kindly does something with no scent, because the smell is literally a PTSD trigger for me, I can’t do it," he added.

Chris recalled that as the children grew older, and became more immune to Eunice’s daily assaults, the abuser began to increase the voracity of her attacks.

He continued: “You would be just walking along and she would come up with a hammer and hit you over the back of the head with it.”

Chris explained that the worst incident that took place during this time almost resulted in him dying when Eunice hit him with a large weight.

“Each lead weight weighs about eight kilograms – they’re heavy – and I was sat playing with my younger brother, and she came and hit me over the head with one,” he added.

“And I remember not instantly blacking out, but slowly the lights turning off. My sister said I was out cold for 15 minutes.

“I thought, actually, this is it, she’s finally done it. I remember being totally at peace, no pain.

“If it hadn’t been for my sibling, I probably wouldn’t have come back round.”
