Jeff Bezos’ £420m superyacht set to be world’s largest spotted at shipyard
Jeff Bezos' superyacht was spotted for the first time ahead of its completion as the biggest yacht on the planet.
Named Y721, the immense vessel was pictured at the Zwijndrecht shipyard in the western Netherlands, MailOnline reported.
Measuring a gargantuan 417ft (127m) in length and costing an eye-watering price of £423 million, Bezos' private boat will be the world's largest ocean-going passenger ship when it's finished next year.
Y721 was teased in the recent book Amazon Unbound: Jeff Bezos and the Invention of a Global Empire.
Author Brad Stone described the yacht as "one of the finest sailing yachts in existence".
The superyacht was hauled out on its way to nearby Alblasserdam, where its final touches will be completed.
But it's still being kept officially secret whether the new mega-ship is actually a commissioned order by Bezos himself.
Despite the revelation appearing in unauthorized biography Amazon Unbound, manufacturer Oceanco remains tight-lipped on who the owner of its flagship vessel will be.
