Video footage has emerged online of the extent of the intense weather conditions seen around London. Major flooding has occurred at the London underground Sloane Square Station on the Circle and District line as well as many other places around the capital. The Circle Line has been completely suspended as TFL attempt to deal with the flooding situation.
The District and Hammersmith and City line have been partially suspended with some stations and tubes operating.
Other footage has emerged of underground station Baker Street also having issues with flooding.
Social media users have expressed their surprise at the scenes and freak weather across the capital.
One Twitter user wrote on the scenes at Sloane Square and said: “This is just awful, I knew Sloane Square had flooding issues before but I never imagined it could have water run down the stairs.

“I always thought of it just being a few puddles somewhere so they shut it out of an abundance of caution or something.
But these clips really make you think.”
Another wrote: “Never seen this before and can’t work out how its happening.
“Has it rained loads? Are drains not being cleared?”
BBC Weather: ‘Risk of flooding’ forecast across UK
While another joked: “Mind the flood” in reference to the TFL phrase ‘mind the gap’.
Despite the ongoing issues with flooding, BBC Weather have reported the capital is unlikely to see weather conditions similar to that of the past 24 hours.
BBC Weather forecaster Matt Taylor said: “We said about a month’s worth of rain would fall in a short space of time and it certainly did.
“Topcliffe in Yorkshire saw exactly a month’s worth of rainfall.

“So did Kew and not far off that in Swanage.”
The BBC meteorologist then showed footage of severe flooding in London.
Mr Taylor however noted conditions will be more settled through Tuesday, with sunny spells and scattered showers.
