Man dressed as Spiderman punches Asda workers in brawl after ‘prank gone wrong’
A massive brawl in Asda saw a man dressed as Spiderman floor a female shop worker with a single punch and swing a steel crutch at staff.
Shocking videos of the melee showed people punching each other on the floor as a wheelchair user desperately backs away.
There are unconfirmed reports the fight began as a "prank gone wrong".
A woman was taken to hospital and five people were arrested after police were called to the Asda in Clapham Junction, south London, at 10.40pm on Thursday evening.
Twitter account @BlackGirlMagic shared videos of the chaotic scenes filmed on a mobile phone.
One showed a man dressed as Spiderman appear to shout and kick at female shop worker's face before flooring her with a single punch to the face.
The clip started with the worker backing away from a young woman in fancy dress, with the man shouting "what, b**ch".
The account shared a second clip of a brawl with the words: "A bunch a thugs attacking colleagues, elderly and children absolutely disgusting."
The video appeared to show several people fighting on the floor next to a stack of plastic crates in the supermarket, with a steel crutch on the floor.

Seconds later, a man dressed as Spiderman appears to be seen swinging the crutch at staff as a wheelchair user desperately backs away from the melee.
A third video by the account showed security staff seemingly being shoved by a someone in a full black balaclava amid chaotic scenes.
The Twitter account claimed: "They troubled staff and and tried to prank them but it backfired! Protect our retail staff they do not get paid enough for this!!"
An Asda spokesperson said: ‘’We are aware of an incident which occurred at our Clapham Junction store late last night.
"We do not tolerate any form of violence or abuse towards colleague or customers and we are working closely with the police in their enquiries.’’
A spokesman for the Met Police said: "Police were called at 22:40hrs on Thursday, 22 July to reports of a group of people involved in a disturbance at a supermarket on Lavender Hill, SW11.
"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service. A woman in her 20s was taken to hospital with a minor injury. A further five people were treated at the scene.
"Five people were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain in custody at a south London police station:
- A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and violent disorder
- A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and violent disorder
- A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm, grievous bodily harm, affray and violent disorder
- An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of affray and violent disorder
- A 17-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of affray and violent disorder
"Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 7883/22Jul."
