Man livid after girl he was dating for ‘one day’ writes off car meeting her ex

A man is fundraising for a new sports car after claiming the girl he had been dating for just one day wrote-off his beloved motor while meeting another man.

Austin Grebe says he had known the unnamed woman for "a while" but only plucked up the courage to ask her out the day before she "totalled" his car by smashing it into a concrete barrier.

The 22-year-old's new squeeze had asked to use his white Nissan 350Z to visit her mum's house due to a family emergency last month – but he believes she used it to meet her ex.

However poor Austin was horrified to receive a text from her that simply read "I crashed ur car", before leaving him to piece together what happened with the help of the police as she refused to take his calls.

The carpenter has now launched his GoFundMe page in the hope kind strangers will help him buy a replacement – while he claims he is cutting women out of his life for now.

Austin, from Madison in Wisconsin, US, said: "I have never felt so disrespected and betrayed.

"When I think about my car, when I look at it, I feel anger and disappointment. It had a tonne of sentimental value.

"She's out of my life now. The car is a total loss."

While Austin had only been dating the woman for a day, he has known her for longer so when she asked to borrow his much-loved sports car for a family emergency he obliged.

But later that night he received a text to say his car had been crashed and when he called the woman, he claims she refused to explain herself and hung up on him.

Austin said: "She went and picked up her ex-boyfriend. I don't know what they were doing or where they were going but later that night I got a text saying she'd crashed my car.

"The text just said 'I crashed ur car'. That was it. That's all she said.

"I called her and was like 'are you okay? I don't care about the car'. She basically told me to f*** off and hung up on me."

After the incident, Austin was then forced to call around three neighbouring police stations to piece together what happened to his beloved motor.

He said: "I found out from the police that she had another male in my car and I had to figure out everything else through them.

"The car was a 2004 Nissan 350Z. I've had the car a little over two years now.

"The frame is now bent, the radiator is smashed, the hood and door are all caved in and crushed.

"As far as I was concerned when I let her borrow the car everything was fine between us. I didn't know she was cheating.

"I'm a huge car enthusiast but I can't have more than two or three at a time. The fundraising page is going to go towards buying another car."

The City of Brookfield Police Department has been contacted for comment.
