Paedo pub boss paid woman to film sex acts in public places – including Tesco

A woman sold videos of herself performing sex acts in public places where she could be seen by kids to a convicted paedophile.

Former pub manager Christopher Shaw paid Tiffany Barrett up to £200 via Paypal for explicit clips at locations where children were present.

Unknown to Barrett, Shaw went on to share the footage, including that taken in Tesco.

An online child sex exploitation investigation team saw one of the videos, which led to the discovery of Shaw owning a depraved stash extremely graphic child sex abuse images.

Darren Whitehead, prosecuting the case at Stoke-on-Trent crown court, said: "(Barrett) admitted she sent these videos to a man she knew as Chris.

"She states he would ask her to make videos of herself in unusual places, including the changing rooms at Tesco. He would pay her via PayPal and he once paid her £40 for a pair of old, dirty socks.

"Shaw stated he downloaded indecent images of children. He confirmed he used (social media app) Kik for a few years. He stated he joined to make friends but started to go into groups including teens.

"He denied he got aroused by looking at such images."

The court heard Shaw had told police Barrett was on drugs and had no money, and that he would send cash to her for videos she made, StokeOnTrentLive reports.

Jason Holt, defending Barrett, of Goddard Street in Longton, said she had no knowledge that the videos were being distributed.

He added: "She hoped to go into the army and started boxing. She started a career in modelling. She saw the videos as a way of making some quick money. She had no knowledge these matters would be distributed.

"She didn't think through the consequences of her behaviour at the time.

"Her life collapsed. During these proceedings she was burgled and damage was caused to her property.

"She was moved to the Crown Hotel. There's a monkey dust problem at that hotel. She had a previous problem with drugs, but managed to rid herself of that problem.

"There is a realistic prospect she will be rehabilitated. She is not a danger to the community."

Barrett, who pleaded guilty to causing a child to witness a sexual act, was jailed for 16 months. She will be made to stay away from activities involving children when she is released, and will be put on the sex offenders register.

Shaw, who admitted making Category A, B and C images of child abuse, possession of extreme pornography and causing a child to witness a sexual act, was also given 16 months and will be subject to the same conditions as Barrett when he is let out of jail.
