The royal family say they are "delighted" after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they are expecting a second child.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said: “Her Majesty, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales and the entire family are delighted and wish them well.”
A spokesperson for the 36-year-old Duke and 39-year-old Duchess of Sussex said: “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother."
Their baby will be the Queen’s tenth great-grandchild and the first to be born abroad.
It is thought Meghan is around five months pregnant and is due in early summer. The baby will be eighth in line to the throne.
The couple reportedly chose to reveal the news on Valentine’s Day, “because they were happy and they liked the idea” that it was a day to celebrate love, the Telegraph reported.
