Royal staff call Prince Charles ‘the pampered prince’ due to his lavish demands
Prince Charles has been labelled the ‘pampered prince’ due to some rather lavish demands.
According to many royal experts the Prince of Wales is being treated as a king already.
The next-in-line to the throne has such outrageous demands that he has even garnered a nickname for being pampered by his court.
Future figurehead Charles reportedly makes his butlers and royal staff iron his shoelaces and press his pyjamas every morning.
And Charles has staff hand wash all of his clothes, according a royal book.
According to Paul Burrell, a former butler to Princess Diana, Charles relies heavily on the people around him.
Burrell said: “His pyjamas are pressed every morning, his shoelaces are pressed flat with an iron, the bath plug has to be in a certain position, and the water temperature has to be just tepid.
Prince Charles’ weird bath time ritual all Royal staff members must follow
“He has his valets squeeze one inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush every morning.”
Speaking on Serving the Royals: Inside the Firm, on Amazon Prime, Burrell added: “On one occasion, he rang me from his library and he said, ‘Oh Paul, a letter from the Queen seems to have fallen into my wastepaper bin. Would you pick it out?'”
And it does not end there – the Prince has really earned the reputation of being pampered.
According to InStyle, Charles changes his outfits five times a day, and only uses his own toilet seats.
The future king also has his beds pressed to be wrinkle free every night – a process that can take over an hour.
But, he has quashed rumours that he expects a martini waiting for him wherever he goes.
He is not the only royal to have high demands for his court.
The Queen reportedly has to have a bath that is exactly seven inches deep every morning.
